Used as a base for exploring Bordeaux and surroundings, so I did very little in St. Médard itself. It is well served by public transport, which made getting around very easy and it makes for a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Like most of the area (at least, it seems that way), there are building and road works all over the place, so watch out for bus diversions and don't expect the locals to be any more knowledgeable about route changes than you are (I speak from experience 😋)!

Very quiet at night, the grounds are well maintained and clean. Loved the option of having breakfast outside, in the morning sun. Use the restaurant on site, quality of the food was good, and would say good value for money. Service was excellent, very friendly staff and owners. Use the pool twice, all lovely and clean. Room is super clean, basic but spacious. Would recommend strongly and would come back again!GGillianUnited Kingdom
