Pleasant enough, but not much to do if the sun isn't shining...
Pleasant enough, but not much to do if the sun isn't shining. Nice cycle rides to villages around the area and good sea-food. However, getting on and off the island is a traffic nightmare which deters you from going elsewhere. The beach at Les Huttes was great, sandy, great waves and safe. A simple laid back beach location with great seafood and a few interesting attractions. See the fort and the lighthouse, especially. The bird rehabilitation center was interesting - and you're supporting a good cause. I found the local markets to be wonderful; real local events, not too touristy. Eat the oysters! (among the best in France), and the specialty eglade.

This is because part of the sheet is a hotel. We came from the UK so could not bring sheets. However the manager provided us with sheets and towels at no extra cost. Much appreciated.
