Exceptional Hotel , Perfect location for visiting a multitude of exceedingly interesting and beautiful locations eg Sarlat de Candida, the Dordogne valley , river with its numerous chateaux and sporting activities. The welcome was very warm . The facilities are set in beautiful grounds and the food ! What can I say absolute " Heaven" if you like FIVE STAR local french cuisine. Having stayed at hotels that were rated much higher this hotel can hold its own with the very best . Our room was spotless and the linen / towels were of the best quality and the decor of the room charming. Should be Four Star minimum.

An attractive traditional Dordogne town building built into the rock. It’s obviously recently undergone a serious renovation and looks and is very comfortable. Restaurant very good for dinner and decent breakfast although both at higher end of price bracket. At one end of the town of Les Eyzies so a pleasant walk through the town past restaurants and bars to visit the pre-history museums (closed Mondays). Fluent English spoken (from Dutch owners) and a friendly atmosphere. Would stay again.
Just be aware that it’s opposite the railway line which is a rural few trains-a-day service so not a problem. Parking for the hotel is in reserved spaces opposite.
