Everything... La Grande Maison Rouge was exceptional. The whole house is beautiful and so spacious. The decor, the amenities, and even the instructions were impeccable. There was everything you need and more. I just wish we could have stayed longer. It was a 5 minute walk from the little port and beach, which was perfect . The rooms were big and the beds were comfy. The pictures do not do the house justice it really was amazing..

Loved everything especially the beach, the port, the restaurants, the boat trips.
My husband used a wheelchair some of the time and easy to get around the town.
The staff in the tourist office were excellent.

A pleasant small town on the lagoon, nice little beaches good for children as shallow and do not shelve too steeply, but no great character. Mostly plenty of free parking. It was satisfactory as a base to explore the nearby area and towns & villages as well as the local environment. There is a large shellfish industry in the lagoon - especially oysters, mussels and similar, so this features heavily on menus.
As surrounding area is very flat & there are cycle routes which are not roadside, this could be a good option for exploring & working up an appetite for the seafood.
We found Sete passe, but enjoyed the food in Les Halles. Our favorite town on the lagoon was Marseillan
The location was amazing. 2 minutes walk to the beach for wonderful safe swimming. Wonderful views from the balcony.
The bed was extremely comfortable. All the equipment provided was excellent and well maintained.
We found many apartment owners at Port Mezua very friendly and welcoming.
Meze is a lovely town with excellent choice of restaurants and shops. Also lots of places around to visit. Sete is a must.
Wonderful chambre d’hote run by the sweet and helpful couple Laure and Anthony. Such a nice place to spend a couple of days in the relaxed town of Meze. Everything was fantastic and our hosts gave us really good tips on what to do in the surroundings. I can really recommend this place - lovely atmosphere, makes you feel at home. Don’t miss when you are in Meze - oyster city in Languedoc!
This hotel is in a perfect spot at the harbor, which means that breakfast or drinks are enjoyed while watching heading to or from the beach and enjoying a warm sunny day. I wish I could rate the staff even higher than this! It almost felt like coming home to family! Rooms are modern and refurbished while the hotel feels classical. The cocktails are also amazing!
Breakfast was good with a variety on offer. Coffee from a machine of good quality,
There was good sound insulation, for though the hotel was fairly busy, we heard no extraneous noise from other rooms. Also, as we faced a side street we thought it may be noisy, but were pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't.
The hotel is near the Center of Meze - great place for
seafood & oysters - we were there in the December weather so it was not possible to enjoy the pool but I would imagine it is a great spot in the summer with a beautiful view across the water and a vet cosy room to return to after a long walk.
Beautiful, comfortable room on top floor overlooking roofs and the lagoon, in characterful old house with stylish furnishings throughout. Vanessa is a lovely, helpful hostess and provides an excellent breakfast. A memorable, well-located place to stay in Meze.
Meze is a beautiful spot away from the hustle of Sete. Camp site in a good location, walkable to town and boulangerie and supermarket within a couple of minutes walk. Nice pool. Can get bus and tram from Montpellier station which takes about 30-40mins.
Maison Capucine is a beautiful chambre d'hote in the heart of Meze run by a fantastic couple who were very friendly and helpful. The building is a wonderful old maze with a great terrace for breakfast, and just full of charm. Would happily stay again.
The location was perfect - so close to the port and many restaurants. The excellent Sunday market in Mèze was a short walk away. The apartment is small but immaculate and even has a washing machine. AirCon and heat, TV, fridge, etc.
Right on the port at Mèze so could not be more central, great location. Good size room, comfortable bed. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, and there are plenty of restaurants on the port within a few seconds' stroll.
