Jean-Pierre is an excellent host, friendly and respects your privacy. We especially liked the location, in the center of the village, you can walk easily to close by restaurants, shops, and bars. The space itself is full of character, it may have once been a stable for donkeys in the distant past. Arched stone ceilings, a French door that you can open the top part while the bottom stays closed, and we enjoyed the warm shower with lots of water pressure.

We were only there for one night but the property was warm and comfortable and everything worked. So close to walk into town, plus the markets were on while we were there and they were great

Part of me really worries about writing this review, because I wish it could stay a hidden gem! But I also want to be fair and praise the owner for her wonderful place and care. The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the village, in a quiet street. The interior is just perfect and an authentic Provence experience. The pictures don’t do justice to how sweet, beautiful, romantic, full of soul and poetic this place is. It’s not big, but it has everything a couple might need. If you have well behaved kids from 6 years old on, the little attic could very likely accommodate them (I’m not sure the host allows kids, check when booking). The hostess is so attentive, she even let some make up remover to be used by her guests. I can’t praise her enough! Also quick to answer any questions and very kind! If in Lourmarin, I will always go back to this place. We lived in a little dream while there! Merci, Valérie!

Lourmarin, a quaint village in France, lacks public transport. However, it's compact and walkable, with key attractions within a 1km radius. For longer distances, consider hiring a bicycle. The heart of Lourmarin, with its charming village centre, is the best area to stay. It offers convenient access to local shops, restaurants, and the iconic Château de Lourmarin. This area perfectly encapsulates the Provencal charm that visitors seek.

The heart of Lourmarin, where we stayed, is extremely beautiful - cobbled streets and restaurants. If you cannot pull your bags for 100m, you may have a problem with staying in the heart, as it is paedestrian zone and the taxi needs to stop outside the zone - make a plan to pull your bag - it’s so worth it and very close to a not particularly friendly or helpful Info office, but still. Cafe Gaby is a win!!!!

Lourmarin is a lovely village with a great choice of cafes and restaurants and a friendly atmosphere. It is a good centre for visiting other areas within Provence. It is only one hour from Marseille Airport, but unfortunately there are poor public transport connections.

Lovely little provencal city with great markets on fridays and lots of good food. Pricey of course as all of France but I really enjoy the boutique shops which offer other clothes than your run of the mill articles that you find everywhere else... I recommend to go off season in may or september and definitively go for the classical music concerts in the chateau. Overall, I felt in love with this area:-)

Terrible, awful experience.
Terrible, awful experience. The worst host I’ve ever experienced - rude, sarcastic and dishonest. Totally disorganised as well, a shambles.
Many charming places to stay, avoid this one like the plague

Easy to spend at least a week in Lormarin and surrounding area. Lots of superb Luberon villages close by, as are Aix and Avignon. At right time of year lavender fields are fantastic (been before).
Lourmarin has multiple food choices from cheap and cheerful through to stylish in lovely environment.
Friday market is great, and there was a weekend Brocante this time, good fun browsing.
Such a beautiful property. The photos don't do it justice. The two bedroom apartment is spacious and charming, but the grounds of the property are really what make it. The pool, gardens and restaurant are so stunning, it's worth making sure you have some time to enjoy it. The place is also walkable to the center of town for restaurants, bikeable to a few chateaus, but you definitely need a car for anything else. Would absolutely stay here again.
Location is stunning: in an ancient building right in the central square of the village. Couldn’t be better.
Plenty of restaurants and shops around.
The apartment is spacious, well decorated and has all the needed facilities for your stay (including air conditioning).
The owner is responsive and ready to help.
Very clean bathroom at arrival.
A plus: Lourmarin village is beautiful and a great location to explore all main sites of Provence.
Amazing view of the vineyards. The environment was very natural and relaxing
We enjoyed sitting outside and having breakfast with the view.
Room was stylish and very clean and had AC.
The owner was very friendly and gave lots of good info about the areas nearby (e.g. the towns, restaurants, tour info..etc)
We wish we could have stayed longer.
I have stayed here before, the family who run the hotel are all extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The pool is the most beautiful I have used and the room is great. They welcome pets, the restaurant is superb. There is Thai/Vietnamese cuisine every lunch except Thursdays and it is sooooo delicious and completely authentic.
Everything was perfect - a warm welcome, exceptionally clean accommodation, and the lovely pool area was very relaxing. Wonderful views of Lourmarin. The hosts Caroline and Jerome are friendly and very kind. Caroline has suggestions for lunch / dinner that were amazing and we also enjoyed their table d’hôte bbq.
An incredible gem in Provence. We couldn’t have loved the place more. The room is absolutely gorgeous, and the view out the windows to the town was delightful at all hours of the day. Everything was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, quiet and gorgeous. We will absolutely be back for a longer stay here.
Everything. The property is a very charming with modern amenities. The bed was large and comfortable. The heated swimming pool, open 24/7, was also a big plus. Breakfast was excellent and the owners very friendly and welcoming. The property was ideally located 5’ away from Lourmarin.
Absolutely lovely gite. Francoise, our host was very welcoming. Felt like visiting family. Lourmarin is a wonderful village...great weekly market, shops and cafes. Many villages shops and cafes are closed on Sunday but Lourmarin is lively and not crowded.
A wonderful house in a lovely location right on the edge of the delightful town of Lourmarin. A stylish house filled with interesting objects combined with home comforts and a glorious garden and pool made this the perfect stay. Loved it!!
The villiage comes alive at night with a lot of little restaurants and shops. The hotel supports the locals by selling and using their products in the hotel. The villiage forms a unit of ancient buildings being kept alive by the residents.
Lovely and secluded place in the heart of Lourmarin. Perfect for a couple trip and and a more authentic French experience than staying at a regular hotel. We loved it - thank you Rose & Robin for being such nice hosts.
This hotel is in the best location, stumbling distance from the epicentre of the beautiful Lourmarin. Cecilia was extremely helpful and attentive and the room was stylish with an extremely comfortable bed
A very nice and spacious apartment, with a small private terrace. In the centre of beautiful Lourmarin.
The hosts were very nice and helpful and the apartment was very clean.
