We stayed here as a stop-and-go location. Apartment is about 5 minutes from the highway and could be a bit difficult to find (read below). You are not really able to put your car on the pavement or on the side of the road to unpack due to a lot of traffic and busses that need to pass, but you can temporary use a small parking spot in the alley next to the building. We spoke the host about this and they will inform people traveling by car from now on that you can temporary use this mentioned parking spot.
Apartment is clean and light, and has all the things you need. Really friendly host in communication. There is a parking card (a regular blue one if you don't have it) in the apartment so you can you park your car for free in the street or the large parking lot nearby. From the parking you are back within a 2 minutes walk. Bakery/shops around the corner and supermarket only a few minutes drive away.
We only stayed one night, but could be a great place to stay for a few days if you want to explore the city/surroundings.

Grounds and facilities were nice. Room was authentic but bathroom was tiny and inconvenient. Most of hotel staff was lovely and helpful. Breakfast by the pool was nice with typical choices - though expensive.

I have really mixed feelings about Domaine de Suzel. I made my reservation 6 months in advance. I keep checking when the restaurant reservations open up and reserved a table 2 months in advance. The menu sounded really good including foie gras. I reserved a Prestige doble room with bathroom. When we arrive they tried to assign us a tent with comunal bathroom. Totally unacceptable. They ask us to go to the pool while they find a solution because no more rooms. Two hours latter they assign us a 2 bedroom flat right outside of the domaine. Best a/c in europe but still smell like paint because they are still working on the flat. It was ok but not what we expected. It was a nive touch to give un chocolate and a bottle of wine. Then we clean up and go to our 7:00 pm dinner reservation just to find out the restaurant is closed for a private party. However we can stay. Only paella and a board with cold meats. I have to say this place is so remote, no other place to go. After 2 hours of waiting at 9:00 pm the paella was ready. Next day, at check out did not charged me for dinner. The Domaine tried to make it right but to us was a big disappointment. The place is beautiful but if they can t accommodate your reservation they should not confirmed. Will never go back.
Very friendly staff. Despite being advertised with no car parking facilities, there is in fact space for one car per room situated immediately outside the building, although it should be noted that the parking area is not enclosed or secure. Very convenient and unexpected. Excellent breakfast but a few extra tables would be welcome as dining area is limited.
