A beautiful, sleepy village, virtually free of cars and full of wonderful plants.
There is a great little shop on the outskirts selling items made by local artisans. Looked after by Valentin, a delightful young man who was so knowledgeable about all the products on sale.
Make sure you book dinner at Le Clos aux Roses, it’s a treat not to be missed.

Chedigny is a small village away from Amboise, but worth staying instead of staying in Amboise. The main street of the village was temporarily blocked for traffic when we visited mid May to allow pedestrians to enjoy walking the streets of the old village where the front of the houses are turned into little gardens with a bounty of flowers while also some of the facades are covered in rose bushes that have been growing up along the facades over the years.
