Room is pleasantly furnished, creates feeling of comfort.
Breakfast is very good, the choice of cheeses is very good, scrambled eggs are not really the best but this is common failure in many hotels.
Restaurant is very good, they have few choices but they taste great.
Staff is great, very helpful and friendly, they don't speak English a lot but compensate with doing things.

Surrounded by fast foot establishments on an industrial park, featuring the worst hotel I've ever stayed in name B&B Hotel Airport and also the saddest Carrefour supermarket I've ever been to- a French supermarket with no bread available and a shut down fish counter! Also petrol at 10 cents a ltr more than everywhere else. My review is of the area around the airport not Chateauroux itself.

Easily accessible from our B and B (Deli ghtful).
Easily accessible from our B and B (Deli ghtful). Good pub Le prevenu even though it was a Sunday and mid Xmas / new year. Then onto La Scala less than 5 mins where we had a good Italian meal. Before then walked round the town, great lights and skating rink. Pretty cold so grateful for the house hot chocolate at Cafe de Paris. B and B overlooks the river. Would be lovely in summer.

Disappointing as it did not seem to have the usual French city centre. The one way system to get to the tourist information office is difficult and getting back on the Blois road quite tricky. Of all the French towns & cities I have visited this was not one of the best.

We didn't spend enough time here really, as we were travelling back from the Dordogne to the ferry. I would like to have explored a little more, but we were lucky to find a Lidl supermarket near the studio, and I noticed a lot of restaurants in the area. I saw a Macdonald restaurant which is good if you're travelling with family, and we were near a train station. The following morning, en route to our next hotel, I saw a number of cafes open in the town.

The town centre has been spruced and looks nice, its easy to walk round, the main square is the best place to eat and drink. We stopped off at the moustache bistro bar for a drink it was nice to sit and people watch. We only stayed one night, but as we drove into the town we passed quite a lot of facilities for all kinds of sporting pastimes so sporting types seem to be well catered for.
Chantal and Jean Paul were very accommodating for our last minute trip to Châteauroux, and they communicated promptly and clearly throughout.
Le Lavoir is a beautiful and quiet place, and our private room was very comfortable. Good light and peaceful ambiance. The property is right by the river and is near many parks and historic buildings.
The owners previously owned a restaurant for over 25 years, and their hospitality really shines. Highly recommend their place.
We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were lovely, the room with the balcony is fabulous and spotlessly clean and the food was very well prepared and delicious.
Excellent hotel anytime but particular good location when travelling south. We have travelled along this road many times over the last few years and wish we had discovered it sooner.
Hotel also very accommodating for my 2 small dogs.

Hotel was near the bus and train station. It was also close to Voltaire bus stop (5min) - so you get easily to everywhere in town. We absolutely loved breakfast - smashed eggs and bacon! Breakfast had a great selection. We were staying at hotel for 10 night so it was a long stay and it was good to have bigger (double-decked) room. Thanks for having us!
My room was the biggest Ibis room I’ve ever stayed in and it also had a “lobby” as you walk in.
I chose this Ibis as I was driving down through France on my own and Châteauroux was about 2/3 of the way through my journey, so an ideal place for my overnight stay.
Managed by a very friendly couple. The hotel is in a convenient location for us to stay over one night as we travel from Calais to near Perpignan - it is just off the motorway, on the outskirts of Chateauroux and in a secure setting.
great value for the price. very cozy, comfortable and quiet. nice decor, it deserves to be called a boutique hotel. good breakfast and impeccable service
