Parking was available, the studio room was so quiet, only the sound of birdsong in the morning, no traffic noise.

The location was spot on for a long drive back from Les Arcs to the UK. The rooms were clean and spacious - and the beds were comfortable too. All you needed really - and the price was good too for 2 x triple rooms

Chalon sur Saone is a lovely French town, with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It's on the river and must be lovely in Summer (we visited in January). The Neptune next to the Kyriad is a great restaurant too if you like genuine French food from the 1970's.

The room was fine what you expect.
The room was fine what you expect. All you require for an overnight stay. The restaurant was awful. Limited hot food options, what we ordered was not prepared properly we both left our meals. It was not worth complaining as the staff were not interested at all. One member of staff was also rude to us as we arrived 5 minutes early. The wine also was not worth the price paid. We should have just gone for the cold buffet. Which was not very exciting either.

I know France well, lived there many years.
I know France well, lived there many years. Though is historic Center is as lovely as any, the modern parts are urbanism from hell - everything is concrete, everything is built only for cars. Cars dominate the Center as well. The modern quarters are architectural catastrophes from the 1970s and in bad shape. Around Lattre tassigny street, shops are empty and closed. Basically no night life: 3 out of 4 cinemas are depressing looking ruins (why does no one clean up?!), the only one left is reachable best by car outside the city and is a cineplex for blockbusters (though fairly cheap). Do not go to Chalon!

Chalon was an interesting historic town which we enjoyed walking around. The only problem we encountered was that when we went out to find somewhere to have supper, on a Saturday night in mid-September most of the restaurants were full, leaving us with very little choice. I don't know whether this was because there was an event on in town of which we were unaware, or whether it's always like this and we should have booked in advance.

Location. Location. Location.
Location. Location. Location. This is a perfect place to stay to have easy walking access to the exploring opportunities in Chalon-sur-Saone. Very clean and great people - the breakfast is amazing. The only thing that could have been better were the stiffness of the bed. We are used to very soft beds in the US, but here, Geneva, Sienna, Rome, Madrid, Torrilmolinos, and Paris all had the same stiffness in bedding. Aside from that - WOW great place to stay!

Sunday there was an arts and crafts fair along riverfront, a lovely walk under the shady trees along beautiful river, and a Farmers Market in cathedral square, with restaurants also open, very festive. Island well worth a walk, and a meal in one of the many island restaurants. Beautiful architecture in historic old town - follow the walk the tourist office gives maps for. We heard good live music in two different places. We saw the annual swallow return to build nests, lovely.

Stef and Nico's place is just perfect! So spacious, clean and comfortable. And the location could not be better - it is just a block away from the lovely pedestrian zone of Chalon-sur-Saone, which is loaded with bars, restaurants and shops.
The apartment is furnished very nicely and well supplied, and Stef was very responsive and helpful when we had questions.
The little balcony off the kitchen overlooked a small courtyard and was very pleasant for coffee, breakfast and happy hour.
This is a great place to stay - you will love it!
Our room was fresh, immaculately clean and comfortable. The staff were happy, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their smiles at reception was very welcoming. The restaurant area was clean, fresh and pleasing, we had vegetarian Pizza and it was cooked to perfection. The breakfast selection was great, everything you could want for a great start to your journey. We would be more than happy to stay at Campanile Chalon-sur-Saone again.
For a small facility without a way to make breakfast for the guests they really did a nice job putting good quality food options available in the apartment. The apartment was beautifully remodeled and very clean. The hosts were very nice and greeted us and made sure we were able to get into the parking garage and hotel room without any problems. Arthur and his sister were very gracious hosts. Would definitely stay here again!!
The hotel is a right choice for people travelling to the south of France or back. Perfect choice for a one-night stay. A large parking lot. There is a shopping center and fast food restaurant nearby. We stayed twice, on our way to destination and back. If you have time in the evening, do not miss an opportunity to visit a town centre. Fabulous!
Our first experience of a Campanile. Didn’t realize it was a motel. Doors seem quite secure. Powerful Aircon so a good place to stay when temperatures are high. A step up from Ibis Budget - there is a proper bathroom with space for toiletries and large mirror. This one had a hairdryer. The kettle and tea /coffee was nice to have.
Hotel wasn't too far from the motorway and close to a Courtpeille restaurant. Staff were friendly and polite. Although this was a budget hotel the room was clean and the bed comfortable which is what you need for a stopover.
Everything is provided and its all of a high quality. Excellent location for exploring the area and Chalon-sur-Saone is beautiful with some excellent restaurants. Hope to stay longer next time.
The hotel is centrally located and easy to find. There is a secure public underground carpark close by. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There were plenty of towels & hot water.
arrived late and the restaurant was closed however the manager rustled up some pasta for all 4 of us, staff very nice and friendly and the hotel was clean throughout
A comfortable room, everything was sufficient and good. The hotel is old but looks like very recently renovated so it was pleasant.
The staff was very nice.
