Petite déjeuner was OK for this class hotel. The location, by the train station, is excellent. It is also a short walk to Cambrai's busy commercial center. The staff was efficient and friendly, especially when assisting me with a minor international emergency situation that exceeded my phone's ability to communicate.
Kyriad Cambrai is located 1.2 mi from the center of Cambrai and is directly accessible from the A2 motorway. It offers rooms with free WiFi, a TV and a private bathroom.

Staff was nice. Not far from the highway. I was on a trip and this was the perfect place for a stop along the route.

Located within close proximity to the town center, Ibis Cambrai offers an on-site restaurant which serves traditional cuisine. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Staff were really nice. Loads of parking. You can even park next to a dead renault espace which has plants growing out of it! That's pretty cool.
I guess it's relatively cheap
Plenty of places to visit to fill a whole day sightseeing.
Plenty of places to visit to fill a whole day sightseeing. A tour of the Citadel underground tunnels recommended. Good selection of restaurants and bars available. Lani Thai and Le Chatleureux (cat cafe) good for vegetarians.

came to watch the cobbled stage of the tour de france, which passed nearby. didn't have much in the way of expectations of cambrai but very pleasantly surprised, very elegant and attractive buildings and some quirky bars and bustling restaurants.

If you are interested in WW1 history then Cambrai makes a good base. We had no such interest and I didn't see anything in Cambrai that would make me want to spend more than a night there. If you have crossed from Dover to Calais and plan to drive through the Alsace then an overnight stop in Cambrai will break up your journey nicely.

I selected Cambrai as a stop over to and from a longer stay near Doubs East France.
I have used Cambrai as a stop over a few times the town square is pleasant with plenty of choice for bars and restaurants.
If you like to do a bit of exploring and a nice evening walk there is a canal that leads to a small circular wood walk: Le Bois Chenu: Urban Ecological Park.
The canal is ideal for those who also like an evening run as the ground is firm and flat.

We planned our overnight in Cambrai as part of a long trip after 2 weeks camping in Brittany and Normandy. I've never felt so underwhelmed by a place, it's what people visiting Yorkshire must feel like when they pass through Goole!
Fortunately we visited many other towns during our trip with most exceeding our expectations, unfortunately Cambrai was the last on our itinerary leaving us preferring to have kept driving.
As a cultural, Great war commemorative town, Ypres it is not!

We chose the area as there is plenty of historical interest.
We chose the area as there is plenty of historical interest. The lady at the Tourist Information gave us a map of Cambai offering 3 different historical walks, which we enjoyed. There was a large street market on the Sunday.
We visited the house where Wilfred Owen wrote his last letter to his mother as well as the Matisse Museum. We visited some of the war cemeteries too.
We ate at the restaurants in the town square but found less choice on the Sunday as not all open in the evening.
This property is lovely. It combines traditional ambience (serene and convent-like) with a coffee machine and decent coffee. The location is excellent although it could do with a small reminder that the street is one-way on exiting (the helpful police officer reminded me).
The hosts were very accommodating and offered back up support if needed. Reassuring but not needed as it was great. Highly recommended. Cambrai is beautiful and this apartment is wonderful.
Le Pigeonnier is a beautifully restored dovecote. It is exceptionally clean, well equipped and is stunning inside. There is a lovely garden with garden furniture and also secure parking. We found it to be very cosy and welcoming and cannot recommend it highly enough. Dominique and Didier are fabulous hosts. There are two supermarkets nearby and it is about a 20 minute walk into Cambrai which has a great selection of shops and restaurants.
The Mouton Blanc is very centrally located in the heart of Cambrai. The best thing about the hotel other than the location is the restaurant and bar. The restaurant is excellent, the lounge and bar are lovely and they have a live piano player. Just note that the music on the weekends will continue until midnight, and you can hear it quite well on Floor 1 (so bring earplugs). There was a simple but good breakfast. The shower was also good.
The room I had in the Château was fine: spacious, perfectly comfortable and clean. Very quiet surroundings (no traffic in the vicinity). Wifi connection worked well everywhere I went. The personnel was generally warm and kind.
Breakfast was also fine with good croissants, fresh fruit and cereals.
The restaurant, in the cellars of the hotel, serves excellent food (above average: refined cuisine). Better to book in advance.
We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived at 11.45pm. Extremely helpful staff who took us to our rooms, and directed us to their EV point which was free. The wonderful man on reception even suggested we store our bikes in a secure room overnight. He helped with all this. This is an exceptionally clean hotel, with crisp white bed linen and comfortable beds. Our breakfast was delicious. Thank you
The restaurant downstrairs served excellent steak and wine and the staff's service way far above 3 star hotel restaurant.
We also had a family party at the private room for 9 people. The of the restaurant staff service gunuine, attentive and discreat - we could focus on our guests and need not to remind the waiters to bring this or that as the service was perfectly aligned and timed.
This is a delightful family hotel tucked away back from the main road leading into the centre of Cambrai. The location was surprisingly quiet and we slept well after a long drive. We ate in the hotel restaurant and also had breakfast, both meals were excellent. It was a pleasure talking to the proprietor about the local history. We would use this hotel again without hesitation
The hotel was comfortable enough, quiet and very convenient, just a short distance from the motorway. It was easy to book and pay for via Booking.com and check-in was simple. Breakfast the next morning was a good range of cooked and cold options, all nicely presented, and with fresh orange juice, tea and decent coffee.
Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful on arrival as were restaurant staff. Room was clean and nicely furnished to usual Ibis standard. Dinner menu what you would expect in an Ibis, adequate but not spectacular.
Breakfast was better than expected, the egg boiler was something I hadn't seen before.
Very large, updated, clean room. Park like setting. Phillipe and Bruno are very helpful. Helped us explore the city and make dinner reservations. We stayed in Cambrai to tour Great War monuments/battlefields. This was a very convenient place.
It was convenient for motorway access. Breakfast was fine and the hotel, although somewhat tired, was clean. We were given a triple room rather than the double we had booked so had a bit more space with our dog as the rooms were pretty small.
The hotel (or rather motel) has easy access to and from the highway which was our main motivation for booking it. The car park is gated and the reception is open 24h - perfect. Breakfast was very simple but included fresh baguette.
The hotel is in a great location. The staff was super nice, knew English and was super helpful. The hotel is decorated in a modern classical style and felt magical. We will definitely come back.
The property is situated on a quiet street not far from Cambrai Centre Ville.
It was clean with all modern appliances.
Good information from the host on gaining access and leaving.
Enyoyed the breakfast and the fact that you ordered exactly what you wanted the night before.
Very fresh baquette. Also liked the mix of elderly people and hotelguests.
