Comfortable and clean and spacious room. Appreciated the microwave and fridge in the room as the hotel is on top of a hill and it rained a lot during our stay so we brought food for the evening back to the room. Friendly staff and good views. A lovely town to be in dry weather , and a lovely hotel to stay in at any time. Excellent breakfast included with plenty of choice.
Located in the centre of Bastia, Hotel Bonaparte offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi access. It is less than a 10-minute walk to the ferry port and a 5-minute walk to the train station.

The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Bastia Poretta Airport. It's just 20km from Bastia, offering numerous flights and good transport links to the city.
Bastia, France, offers several public transport options. The city's bus service, run by Bastia Bus, provides extensive coverage. Taxis are readily available, and car hire services are an option. Bastia is a gorgeous village and very close to Saint Florent as well airport and a beautiful beach near the airport. We aren’t museum people but it was really very interesting in the citadel… worth a visit and free in the off season. Perhaps just a few days in Bastia would be sufficient and then head further south to explore.

City port with pretty historic center, main square, smaller port surrounded by the restaurants. Streets with the shops, cafes, good to stay for day or two. For everybody who likes the history, boats, shops, cafes and restaurants. Several public parking places (garages) are helpful, parking in the center is not easy, especially with the bigger car. Good shops with local deli.

Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do.
Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do. The train journey to Ajaccio is four hours, but it’s worth doing for the stunning scenery. Apart from that there isn’t much public transport in Corsica, so it’s not easy to explore the island with a vehicle.

A nice city with a tree lined main square the citadel was beautiful and a must to visit. The port areas had some lovely restaurants and bars. Some parts of the town are a little scruffy with graffiti but unfortunately it has become expected in most cities today, just sad it spoils some of the old quaint streets.
Plenty of buses and taxis and a main train station.
Some parts are steep for walking .
Felt safe and people were friendly,

Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city.
Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city. It is a gateway to Corsica. It has several nice pedestrian only streets with plenty of shops and places to eat. It is fine for a night or two as you enter / exit Corsica (ferry or plane) it is a good hub for onward travel (bus and train) but it is not a holiday destination. There are no beaches within walking distance of the city centre.

This is not a holiday destination for those who like to laze...
This is not a holiday destination for those who like to laze on a sandy beach. It is a very beautiful mountainous island full of history, with its small towns that seem to cling to the sides of the mountains, its ancient buildings that look like they are crumbling, it's narrow winding streets with steps everywhere, its lively restaurants and bars that are a mixture of Corsican and Italian and a sea that is one minute like a mill pond and quite wild the next. The views are breathtaking, and the people are very friendly and proud of their heritage. It is a wild unspoilt place where the language is often Italian, the food has a very italian influence and the people are really kind. The town of Bastia is quite small so take the coastal train or bus. It is possible to visit the whole island in 2 weeks and well worth it.
Hotel has ideal position as it is located very close to train station, ferry terminal/port and historic town of Bastia. Rooms are spacious enough with generous bath rooms. Cleanliness was exemplary and well kept throughout our stay. We enjoyed the quietness and the comfortable bed.
Breakfast was an enriched French breakfast ( containing beside croissant, pain au chocolat, butter and jam also yoghurt, fresh fruit and fruit puree plus coffee/tea and fruit juice). We consider 10 Euro/person a fair price for it.
Location, location, location. The apartment is beautifully located with direct view and access to the old port. It’s comfortably furnished and features a modern and spacious bathroom. It was clean and communications with our host were easy, quick and left no question unanswered. Information for parking and restaurants was delivered with the check-in information and helped guide us during our stay. Bastia was a wonderful first stop on our trip to Corsica and the apartment was a very good place to begin.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a late check-out and allowed us to stay in the hotel lounge area afterwards because our plane was much later. We specifically requested a corner room (balcony and windows on two sides), and they honored this request. The room was great and relatively spacious. It had a large desk and a very comfortable bed. The public facilities, including lounge area, tables, pool, sauna, were extensive. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower.
Monsieur Miot is in a great location and ideally placed if, like us, you are taking an early morning ferry from Bastia port. It's not, however, a destination hotel, which is what we understood from the description and it really is not a 'boutique' hotel and does not come with any of the amenities traditionally associated with boutique hotels. For the room rates, I believe that breakfast should be included. The hotel works for a one night stay but no longer.
Les Voyageurs is located in a convenient, central street that is great for exploring Bastia on foot, and only 10-15 minutes walk from the ferry port too. The rooms are comfortable too - though the numbering system is so random & illogical it is hilarious!
Good, secure storage for bags is provided if you need to check out of the hotel before you want to leave the (very enjoyable) city, too.
We booked this for a night as we had an early flight from the airport the next morning. The hotel is located a short walk (<5mins) from the station (as well as the airport shuttle bus). It's also not far from the old town and harbour. The room suited our needs and the staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early.
Magnificent location, food, service, rooms, and staff. Very easy to get to airport, city centre or beach.
Spa and pool very clean and the place its self was peaceful and relaxing by just sitting in the garden hearing the birds or the water and admire the plans and the green around. Thank you for making our last 2 nights of our holiday amazing.
The location is very convenient, close enough to the centre to walk but far enough that it is less busy. The hotel has a private car park which is very convenient in a busy city like Bastia.
The rooms are well equipped with a fridge, large beds and a microwave.
Incredible noisy… the Windows are so cheap, it is like as if there are none. We stayed in a Junior Suite and didn’t sleep at all as the hotel is next to a big street and a port with many parties.
Staff didn’t help, also no reimbursements or guestures
The location of the hotel: on a hill in a small authentic village, the room with a sea view, the staff that was very friendly and helpful and very understanding (we came very late), the breakfast :) it's a lovely place and i definitely recommend it :)
location was perfect for someone coming into town by bus or train and leaving or coming by ferry. close to everything (everything in Bastia is walking distance). the staff spoke many languages and were very helpful with getting city information
This hotel is well-located for sightseeing in Bastia. The staff is friendly and helpful. We appreciated that the staff were conscientious about wearing masks as this gives us confidence that all health measures are being followed.
Spend one night at Central hotel before taking the ferry.
Great location to visit around Bastia and take the ferry early morning. We enjoyed our stay and the fact that the hôtel is very original Bering the oldest hotel in Bastia
The location is fairly close to the ferry terminal, but not really walking distance when you have luggage. We took a cab. The hotel is nice, clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We returned to Alivi having liked it so much when we first arrived for our holiday touring north Corsica.
Fabulous setting. Gorgeous pool area. Comfortable room and fantastic staff .
The hotel was modern and the room was clean and comfortable, including the bed. The staff was friendly. The rooftop pool terrace was nice, with a great view over the port of Bastia.
Very friendly owner and wife.
Location is extreme good with a very nice garden and access right away to the beach.
City is walking distance and 2 minutes by car from the ferry
The hotel was nice, new, clean, the staff was very friendly.
We really liked our stay. I would recommend the hotel, it is a good value for money option.
