There’s a beautiful garden that we didn’t get to use because of the rain. The guest house is right in the center of town so we could walk to cafes and sites. The breakfast was really good & plentiful. The best part is the owner who is super accommodating. We were waiting for our RV to be fixed and she went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. She even gave us a ride to the repair shop the next day! Highly recommend!

Lovely small town with several friendly restaurants and a lovely local museum. Definitely a good place to relax in a beautiful boutique hotel and explore the locale. There was easy parking in the town centre and a friendly tourist office with good local Recommendations This was an excellent base from which to visit the Mont St Michel and surrounding area. Don’t miss sampling the locally brewed Calvados!

We also wanted secure parking as we had electric bicycles on the back of the car and Hotel de La Croix d'Or was perfect. The food in the resturant that night was superb and a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice the next morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was spotless. We were sorry to have only spent the one night in Avranches and would like to have had the time to explore it a bit moreMichaelIreland

We were coming towards Avranches from the south and ended out on the new road towards Granville. Very frustrating and could be improved, We don't use Satnav. The actual hotel is vey unique and definitely different - the owners clearly love the style etc. WE found it a little overwhelming! Gardens absolutely superb!

All restaurants closed. She offered to cook us a meal!! The breakfast was great. She got up at 5am to make us breakfast as we had to leave at 6am. Such great service is hard to find these days.
