Clean and modern with very friendly staff. Offered a good breakfast with an extensive selection of options from pastries and cold meat to hot options like eggs and bacon. Coffee machine in the room was a great touch and the ability to buy souvenirs and postcards from reception was helpful for a busy long weekend stay.

Our stay at Marna Guesthouse in Tórshavn was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a clean and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic experience.
Finding the guesthouse was a breeze, thanks to its convenient location. The owner, in particular, was a shining star during our stay. Her level of helpfulness and cheerfulness was simply unmatched. Her generosity exceeded all expectations, a trait I've found to be typical of the warm hospitality one encounters on these beautiful islands.
If you're seeking a tranquil and peaceful stay in the capital, look no further than Marna Guesthouse. This place embodies the essence of Faroese warmth and hospitality, and our time there was truly unforgettable. Thank you to the owner and the entire team for making our visit to Tórshavn so memorable!

Small city, easy to walk around to get to places in the city, slippery in the winter, terrain is uphill and down hill sometimes but railings are everywhere. Really good restaurants like Aristova and Barbara.A lovely corner cafe and book store called Paname Supermarkets have nearly everything including GF breads.People are very friendly and help you if and when lost.Must visit the red houses!

It’s the town center of Faroe Islands.
It’s the town center of Faroe Islands. A charming town but not much to do. There are some good restaurants but the food was a bit on the pricy side, which is understandable considering they may be imported or flown from other places. Getting around the islands by car is fairly easy. It’s feasible to drive to the sightseeing spots on the map within a day, if no hiking is needed. Don’t miss the Mulafossur!

One of my favorite cities (and I've travelled a lot). It's the biggest city in the Faroe islands, yet the feeling is different compared to any city in other countries. Peacefull, well maintained beautiful city where you can find everything you need .
Lots of restaurants and bars around the harbour area, very easy to find orientate.

Torshavn is a lovely place to visit, and the local people...
Torshavn is a lovely place to visit, and the local people are very friendly and helpful. It feels very safe overall, and there is enough of interest to sustain a 3/4 day stay. There are good restaurants (some expensive - depending on what you're used to) and there is good quality food on offer. Getting around is easy, with most of the Town being walkable - with the local "Red" busses being free to use. Exploring beyond Torshavn needs planning. Some bus routes offer a morning departure but can have a late return, with not enough interest for the casual traveller at the destination for more than a couple of hours. Be aware that Shops etc. close at 13:00/14:00 on Saturday, and on Sundays everything is closed (including the local busses, and some of the cafes and restaurants!)
The ferry to Nolsoy is cheap and only 30 minutes. However, if you are NOT hiking there is only 1 shop/cafe (closes Saturday at 13:00) and 1 other cafe (Maggie's was open, friendly and with basic food (chips/burgers/pizza) and worth a stop). For non-hikers there is only an hour/90 minutes of interest, but you may have a several hour wait for the return. Maybe in peak season it's better - I was there end April.
Great property with nice view over Torshavn. Easy to access if you're arriving by bus into the city from the airport. Get off at the SMS shopping centre stop and then it's a 15 min walk.
Our room was a decent size. All rooms share one of two bathrooms.
The kitchen is large and well equipped, although would be better if there was a can opener.
An easy walk into the centre of Torshavn and the harbour and old town area.
There's space for 1-2 cars to be parked and you may be able to hire Marna's car if available.
The property is located on the edge of Torshavn overlooking a park with plenty of walking possibilities and, of course, the waterfall. It has a small sheltered garden that we used for eating when the weather was good enough. The house is well equipped with two bathrooms and two showers. There is a supermarket in a short walk down the road which has good opening times and a good selection. From the house, it's relatively easy to get into Torshavn by foot, bus or driving. The parking lot can fit two cars if necessary.
A very fresh and cozy apartment with a view over Torshavn - it was everything we needed for our stay. The communication prior to arrival was great, and picking up the keys was easy. The apartment had everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The location is on top of a hill/slope, not in central Torshavn. Since we had a car, it was perfect for us to be in that area! But if you don't have a car, it will be a 30 min walk to the city centre.
I highly recommend this place.
The apartment was perfect for our travel group of four friends. It is a cozy place to stay between activities on the Faroe Islands. We could park our car right in front of our house, which we've used to explore the islands. The owners were quick to answer if we had questions beforehand, during, or after our stay. We took the ferry from Denmark and could "check in" early and leave late as the ferry arrived in the morning and left in the evening.
Service was great. Room was big and comfortable. The hotel provided free on-site parking as well so its good for travellers with cars. Nearby, there's a mall and a supermarket (A Handil) where you can easily get supplies and food. The hotel had a laundry room as well (with a washing machine and dryer) which is very convenient for travellers whom have been on the road for a very long time.
Great and modern Hotel with nice view over the city. The Staff is exceptionally friendly. The fitness room is well equipped and fully functional. The room itself is spacious and with fast WiFi (100 MBit/s down | 400 MBit/s up). Special requests are handled without any problems. Breakfast has a good selection, juice and coffee is included. We really enjoyed our stay.
Very comfortable room in a quieter part of Tórshavn, with a nice hilltop view of the city and the harbor. Marna is really friendly and helpful, gave me all sorts of advice on how to spend my time in Tórshavn, including which mountains to hike. Nice tea, large common space available, including kitchen and living room.
Location very close to the bus station in Torshavn, easy to get to. Clean room. The breakfast was ample and various, however there was one day when it was not served from 7 AM as the staff forgot that it was autumn daylight saving hour change (was not a big issue for me thou). Friendly staff.
Excellent location in heart of Torshavn. Much better located than other newer hotels which tend to be on the outskirts of the town.
Great restaurants right nearby as well as ferry port.
Staff were super helpful and friendly.
Hotel had nice dining options
The apartment was clean, beautiful, and everything needed was there. Very close to a grocery store, and only a 5 min walk to the good restaurants in Torshavn. While no ‘reception’ ( as this is not a conventional hotel) the hosts were very responsive.
The apartment is just lovely, we got to stay for 5 days and it felt like home. Washing machine, drying machine, well-equipped kitchen, nice view from the windows - all you ask for. Will definitely book again if I come back to Faroe Islands :)
Very cute little house very close to the center with all amenities required.
Host was really caring, warm and welcoming.
I would definitely suggest to rent this place to have an amazing experience in the Faroe Islands !
Great location in Torshavn centre (so central that we couldn't keep our car parked next to it at all times, had to be mindful of 2h parking restrictions). Great house with character.
Cosy apartment with all the amenities one would need close to the center of Torshavn (the town is tiny so virtually everything of interest is a 15 minute walk from the apartment)
