Fabulous views all around. Very comfortable, good breakfasts and dinners. Room 506 has a lovely balcony with a killer view! Ask for this one - didn’t look like others had a balcony.

We liked the fact that it was non touristy and typically...
We liked the fact that it was non touristy and typically Spanish. Plenty of walks around the area but transport is limited so if you want to sre other places nearby then a car is recommended. Staff very helpful and accommodation hood only lacking a kettle in the room. We tended to eat out locally as eating times in the hotel were late breakfast only served from 9am until 10.30 whivh was late if you needed to leave early. However, there were plenty of local cafes in the town itself that served breakfast.

A great base for exploring this part of the Parque Nacional...
A great base for exploring this part of the Parque Nacional Sierra de las Nieves. Some great hiking from here or or within a short drive. Steep and narrow twisty streets, but you can find parking at the lower levels if spooked by the driving challenge. Well kept and smart village. Limited accommodation options. But can recommend Hostal de La Plaza Tolox. (Note it IS an eight bedroom hotel not a hostel/hostal).TonyUnited Kingdom

It is close to hiking trails starting from Tolox which is just 5 minutes by car or a 20-25 min walk to the start of some beautiful trails. We arrived at new years eve Dec 31th and everything was closed for 2 days, and José the host was so sweet by bringing us some food to get through the next day. Room's big enough, nothing fancy but with balcony, figuring out how to get the warm water running a bit of a challenge but he, it works. The wifi didn't. It gets quiet during the off season in the hotel but the owner is friendly and very willing to help you get your bearings in town. Price/quality in off season is just okay

The average age of residents was very high when we were there. However, the staff were really friendly, the grounds were lush and green, our room very comfortable and the surrounding area beautiful. If you like to walk, the area is fantastic for hiking.

At night, with no light pollution, the sky and stars were brilliant. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and although with modern facilities, it's feel is of stepping back a few decades. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food good.

The hosts also set up a crib for our baby and had a changing table and baby bath which was so helpful. Pool area was also lovely. Tolox is a pretty little town with nice walks and some great (and cheap) restaurants!
