The whole area has a calming feeling and the city is welcoming. It can be busy however at the main sights, pilgrims can be seen and congratulations to all who made the journey - the surrounds can be very hilly!

Two day's is enough to see this City and the Cathedral. The Cathedral is free, but and you must pay for the museum and other sights within the complex. Not expensive. Lots of inexpensive restaurants near the Cathedral. Family run and very reasonable. Some very nice parks nearby. Plenty of shops. Very nice city to visit. very helpful people with locations, directions, etc.

Santiago de Compostela is a place That holds many enchantments. The cathedral is the central focus point of Santiago but they have a lot of the walking trails that you can go to and have some wonderful views of the two rivers, Sar and Sarella. It has also other churches that have much history and much architectural beauty as well. A lot of shopping options for those who want fashions or maybe just window shopping. The eateries are very good. There’s many restaurants with great options for food and different tastes of Spanish cuisine.

The staff were so helpful. My bag was lost and they went above and beyond to find it even though they had not lost it nor were they responsible for its transport. Phone me several times to keep me in the loop. So incredibly kind.
A kettle, tea bags and coffee sachets! Great treat, as the rest of the hotels i had stayed in over my month in Spain had not had any kettles.
Lovely powerful shower and big soft towels.
Fabulous location, with cathedral 10 mins in one direction and great shopping 10 mins the other way.
Very friendly personnel clearly trying to make up for disappointed guests by the misleading name of the hotel. Allthough a kettle and coffee and tea is costumary in American chain hotels, this one is a Mariott, at roughly 280 euros was not even included, but the staff quickly had housekeeping bring me one. the parking was very convenient. Sometimes hotels offer apples or sweets at reception, here you get lemons, believe me you won t need them... They did have umbrellas though like most 4 star hotels in Spain
Hotel has recently been renovated, in contemporary style, to a high standard. We were pleasantly surprised at check-in by a complimentary upgrade to a first floor junior suite (thanks Susanna!). Room was tastefully decorated and immaculate. Comprehensive breakfast buffet with great selection of hot/cold options, fruit, etc. Easy walking distance to the centre of Santiago and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Exe Peregrino. At the price, one of the best hotels I have stayed in.
This apartment was superior in every respect! It was extremely clean, had lovely/very comfortable furniture and was in a great downtown location. Maty was the most awesome property manager who brought us bags of fresh, local food, cheese and pastries. She also answered many questions of ours over the two days with recommendations and local information. By far the best experience from traveling all through Spain and Portugal!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The hotel was a little removed from the old town but could be walked in 20 minutes through green surroundings. Breakfast is available at the premises or can be obtained at several other places within 5 to 10 minutes walk. But the best thing about the Casa Diocesana is the reception staff and the sisters who clean the rooms. All are friendly and helpful especially Maria in reception who is a shining diamond 💎
This was the most amazing experience I’ve had on my recent trip to Spain! The property was so beautiful and the property owners went above and beyond to make my stay over the top enjoyable! The location is perfect to get to anything you need and the rooms are decorated so perfect and the sheets are amazing!
I will be back and for much longer than just 2 nights next time!
This hotel was outstanding, especially for the price of the room. It is located just a few steps from the Cathedral in a quaint section of old Santiago. Every member of the staff that I interacted with was friendly and attentive to my needs. The hotel in general, and my room in particular have loads of character...just a beautiful hotel. Very highly recommended.
Breakfast was good as was the service. Good healthy food. The dinner was the best. Normally don't have dinner in hotels but weather was cold and rainy and my dinner was great. Service was excellent. Prices were lower than I expected in a 4 star hotel. Front desk Hugo was very helpful for tips in Santiago.
Lovely hotel in the perfect location for exploring the old town. Lovely choice at breakfast. Although it doesn't have a car park, the public car park is easy walking distance to the hotel. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Santiago de Compostela.
Very central in Santiago. 5 Minutes walk to the old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Good accommodation, bedroom and bathroom. met all our needs and a handy walk to the main bus station to get the bus to Sarria. Airport bus also stops outside the hotel.
I go every year to Monte do Gozo for disc golf tournaments and this year I decided to stay there because it is just at the course. The location is perfect and the cafeteria makes it the best location in Spain to play disc golf.
Very efficient. We arrived very late, close to midnight and we had all the details of how to access the hotel and our room. The room was so inviting after a long day at work and then a late flight out to Spain.
Small, nice and quiet hotel in the old town Santiago. Very close to the cathedral, restaurants, shops and parking. Reliable contact with the reception for help and check in.
Friendly helpful staff, some with great English skills. Easy to find, with inexpensive parking nearby. Beds were very comfy and LOVELY to get a duvet in Spain!!
