The hotel is in a fantastic location, in the old town, which is great for exploring that area. It meant I could go to the theatre & out to eat in the evenings and not worry about a long walk or bus ride back. The area felt okay to walk in alone in the dark Winter evenings.
The room was a good size for one person, well-heated and with a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful, without being intrusive.
There is a lift, which is always a bonus.
I enjoyed my stay.

It’s a total value for money! The separate balcony with an amazing view, big bathroom and cozy bed with 2 heaters just made my day! I didn’t expect all this at such a low price! The host is also very sweet. Actually I had no plans to stay at Ourense but had no trains available so I had to, I was totally exhausted but as soon as I entered the room, my mood was elevated. The view from the balcony got me interested to explore the city & I found it’s amazing river Minho, the park, geothermal hot springs and the history of this city!
It’s a very good place to stay. 🩷 TV, wifi, heaters, everything is good!

A lovely place especially as it was just before Christmas...
A lovely place especially as it was just before Christmas and the place was lit up. The people were great.Reindeer pulling Santa’s slay was a huge surprise. We didn’t go to the thermal pools, one was being refurbished, one was flooded due to the river being high and the other didn’t appeal.

Very difficult town to navigate as buildings are many stories high so no visual points of reference. Also if driving most streets are one way. It took us ages to find our hotel despite SatNav. We only stopped one night and where happy to move on.

We stopped for one night along a trip from Vigo to Astorga to experience the thermal springs. In the morning we bought towels at the Bazaar down the street, ate breakfast and headed to Outariz parking. A short walk to the pedestrian bridge over the Miño river got us to the free termals. It was very nice. We will be back!

Ourense was okay.
Ourense was okay. You heard a lot of noice in the appartment, the traffic light for pedestrians sounded like an alarm, very annoying. Also the appartment had a very unnice smell. The checking in and out was not easy, we received 4 keys, and the parking of the car was only possible from the moment of the check in.

The best bit about Ourense is the thermal springs.
The best bit about Ourense is the thermal springs. Some are free and some are paid for. We went to the free ones at Chasqueveira. You can walk from town. Just take your costume and a towel and you can leave them on the edge while you have a dip. Go anytime. We have just been on a chilly, cloudy late September weekend and they are fantastic. Well worth going.
We we met at the arranged time. They were very helpful and kind to show us the apartment and tell us about the area around the apartment. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. It was the perfect place to explore Ourense, especially the old quarter. We wish we would have had longer to stay. Would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Ourense. The owner even arranged a taxi to the train station for us.
Our room was very clean and modern with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel provides safe and free parking behind the hotel. A typical simple Spanish breakfast is available in the hotel’s dining room and there is an on-site restaurant.
It was a good, quiet, economical stopover hotel, very close to the A52 to Vigo,
The house was amazing for us. Comfortable, spacious, well-equipped kitchen, amazing shower.
We were visiting friends locally so the location was perfect for us. Only 15 min drive into the centre of Ourense city.
The pool was fantastic to enjoy with the children.
Marian and Amelia were very helpful hosts.
We wouldn't hesitate booking here again if we return to Ourense.
Everything related to my acommodation and stay was really wonderful.
The room I was given was very comfy, well furnished and clean.
I'd like to highlight this is the second time I've booked a room at the New J&J Hostel and both experiences were very pleasant to me, so I recommend this place to anyone interested in reserving a good place to stay in downtown Ourense.
The spa in the hotel is alright. More like a jacuzzi type of setting. The rooms were clean, brand new decoration, good elevator. Not easy to park nearby, they have an agreement with a car park nearby for extra charge. Good location 2min away from the restaurants and bars in the historic center of the city as well as touristy areas. Not a bad place to stay.
Location was amazing, few miles away from Canion de sil, just to go in there need use road from Ourense side as road from Lugo side are very narrow and dangerous.
As we like old style houses we was enjoyed our stay, we feel like to travel 50 years back.
Village very interesting, very old abandoned houses all around, beautiful old church...
Great location, clean room and facitlies and most of all Sandra is the star of this hotel. She helped us find bikes to rent. Although she couldn't find any, we ended up buying bikes. Sandra took her time to help us with all our needs. She needs to get a raise! We really liked her.
Excellent location close to the center. Grocery, banks, pharmacy, restaurants within minutes walking. The apartment was clean, with good cooking facilities and a washing machine. There was a nice terrace outside. Tastefully decorated with books about Ourense.
Just as you see in the pictures. an amazing apartment with a great view and a super convenient location. Very clean and with all you need to enjoy your stay.
Silent at night, sunny during the day.
I would come back every time I want to visit Ourense again.
Smart hotel in city location with good access to old city attractions.
Well appointed, large room. Free parking for motorbike right outside hotel. Free loan of umbrella - it rained a lot while I was there! Helpful staff. Good breakfast.
The boutique hotel is tastefully decorated and very stylish. The spa bath in the bedroom was a nice and unique touch. The room has a terrace with a wonderful view of the river. Olga, the host, is very helpful and friendly
Simple hostel. Did the job at a good price. Ourense is has a lovely old town with nice Galician bars and restaurants..and nice thermal pools by the river..had a nice visit.
A well-appointed apartment - including an oyster knife in a drawer! The owner is the most courteous and elegant Ourensean since Julio Iglesias Sr.! Seriously superior.
Great location! 2 minutes walking from the center and super close to a parking (which the hotel has a contract with so the fee is reduced). The breakfeast is good!
