The man and the woman at reception when we arrived at noon on January 2 were absolutely amazing. Super helpful and kind and indulged my fledgeling Spanish.
The Silken Turcosa overlooks the port of Castellon on the Costa del Azahar. All of the air-conditioned rooms have satellite TV and private balconies.

The city is absolutely stunning with such a great vibe.
The city is absolutely stunning with such a great vibe. The last day of vacation we had the dinner at an incredible Romanian bar called Angela Bar. The owner, a beautiful lady wearing the traditional Romanian clothes made our evening so special with her delicious dishes and the history of the articles around the bar. I huge recommend her wonderful place full of happiness, history and delicious food.
I'm not talking about the eyes catching, delicious tostada with a fresh coffee at every single cafe/bar we had every single morning.
We have had a great time and as soon the time permitting, we are planning to return. Highly recommended!

I only visit as my mum lives there.
I only visit as my mum lives there. Castellon is not exactly a must visit but it is friendly and as a Brit, I would say it is a fantastic place for the old folk. Everything is accessible and there are a lot of facilities and programmes for them to lead a full and socially active lifestyle. The younger folk will enjoy the many bars and countless little shops in the old part of town and the beach. Nearby Benicasim, just ten minutes away, is buzzing In summer with great music festivals and miles of beach.

A quiet city, not very touristic.
A quiet city, not very touristic. The city has a big park and the best paella in Spain. I recommend the restaurant "Malabar". Worth to visit the port - Grau Castello which is 20 min by bus from city centre.

It is a brand new hostel. Everything is new and clean and comfortable. Close to everything: the city centre, tram stop to the beach (around 10 min walk), train station ~ 20 min walking.
Administrator did everything to make my stay comfortable.
I was very lucky to stay there.
The hotel was spotless and the bed so comfy, Maria and Yolanda were amazing on reception, helping us with finding transport to Valencia that was available early in the morning and cheap, we asked for a kettle for the room and extra pillows, nothing was too much for them

The facilities were o.k. I liked the fact that the train station was across the road. There was an additional bonus as several of the artists stayed in the same hotel.
