We spent a fantastic week at Apartamentos La Escapada. The house is very comfortable, it has everything you need and the private garden is perfect for a family with small children. The common garden also provides many activities to keep the kids entertained for long time. And the hospitality of Yoli is priceless. You see she does her best to make you feel at home and make your stay as comfortable as possible. And she excels in that! From the apartments you are at a short ride from the beach and approximately 1-1.5h from Picos de Europa. A great stay between mountain and beach.

This is a great hotel on a beautiful golf course. The oasis we needed after a tough hill walk on the Camino.

I loved the room and the food even thought arrived late, it was amazing.
We order the food to be delivered at 9 and we chased them up at 9:30. The food eventually arrived at 10. We received and apology and we were not charged for it, which really surprised us.

The room had just been updated I believe. It was clean and bright. I had an ocean view room and could listen to the waves at night. It was a lovely stay. There was a common area with a kettle, tea and a small refrigerator and there was a coffee maker in the room.

The host has really detailed instructions for how to get there and for what to see in the area, which are very handy because it's quite remote and you need to build your route smart in order to see the most of it. It was an interesting experience arriving to the accommodation and finding out that it's one street with only 3-4 houses and a dozen of cats on top of a mountain. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the clever selection of ham/cheese. The house is very authentic and we glad to have experienced that during our visit to Asturias.
Rural area with lovely walking possibilities. Several local restaurants within walking distance of our holiday accommodation, but we did not try any of them. We tended to eat out at lunch time when sightseeing or visiting nearby towns, and then cook in the apartment in the evening. There is a small town, Villaviciosa, nearby, with a good supermarket.
Several beaches are within a short drive away ( you do need a car here), including Playa Merón, where significant dinosaur finds have been made.
