DORMERO Hotel Xanten, hotel in Xanten

The DORMERO Hotel Xanten offers modern furnished, en-suite rooms with free internet access. Most of the rooms boast scenic views of the market square and cathedral.

Everything was wonderful: warm welcome; clean room with a lovely view of the market square and cathedral; drinks from the mini bar were included and there was a kettle in the room which was very handy. Sad I only spent one night here, but would love to visit the beautiful historic city- and stay in a great hotel - again. 10/10

This was a typical small German rural city but with the benefit of the largest Roman archaeological park and museum. The medieval market place and cathedral were amazing enhanced by the contents of the history museum.

The wonderful biking and hiking trails along the banks of the Rhine. The splendid LRV Roman Museum (a must for schoolchildren, very modern and interactive learning). The rose garden with its little hidden surprises. We loved the atmosphere of the town with its very inviting terraces. The beautiful Sankt-Viktordom, the Klever Tor and Kriemhildmühle (Nibelungensaga). The restaurant 'Petersilchen" was a true delight! It exceeded our expectations.

Xanten was such a pleasure to discover and visit.

Xanten was such a pleasure to discover and visit. I particularly enjoyed the Roman experiences but all the rest added to the joy of my visit. Will definitely recommend Xanten to other visitors. Xanten is safe and easy to explore and a solo traveler can enjoy it just as much as groups

I arrived by bicycle and was made very welcome - a garage was made available to store the bike. There is a popular and good quality Greek restaurant which is the main focus of the establishment. I had a pleasant meal eating in the open air (it was a warm evening). The accommodation is fairly basic, but is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb with too much to eat and I was offered a bag to take the surplus away. Xanten is a pleasant 5km cycle ride away and well worth a visit.

The hotel is on plaza in center of the village. It has great view of the cathedral. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Dandy, the lovely Irish lady made us feel at home. The property has elevator and secure bicycle parking in locked garage with outlets for e- bikes. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The village itself is very walkable and has numerous historical sites and picture opportunities.

The house is excelent value for service. The owner was very kind, as agreed he was wayting for us even before we arrived. We had no issues at all. The house is big and comfortable. All facilities work with no issues, the kitchen is great and allows for own cooking. There is also a garden which can be used for grilling and relaxing. For us definitely higher value then a hotel.
