Visited hotel while underway to Bremerhaven. For a stopover it has all one needs. The rooms are a bit outdated, but in general there is little to complain about. Breakfast in the morning was good!

It's great that the room is non-smoking and pets are not allowed!
The room was perfectly clean and warm,
The studio had all the necessary things and
on 11/01/2024 it was located in a very quiet and safe area.
For 1-day&night stay was good enough for a married couple.
Probably, one person would feel more comfortable in a medium-sized bed)

The spa and the swimming area were very nice although there...
The spa and the swimming area were very nice although there was a lot of chlorine in the water. The outside sauna and the steam room were fantastic. Initially, we were thinking of bringing our dog and when we arrived the room was set-up with a dog bed and a bowl of water which was very thoughtful.
We asked for restaurants in the area and the receptionist was not able to give us a lot of advice. We ended up eating at the hotel restaurant where we found that the food in the restaurant was overly expensive and a bit bland. The portion of scallops was so small that my wife insisted we find another restaurant to eat at after it.
Fantastic hotel & restaurant. Turned up at hotel a little early and there was no one on reception but the lady that was at the restaurant was fantastic. She gave us free tea & biscuits while we waited to get some one to book us in. The room was great with free bottle water and TV etc. Great bed & on suite. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The food at night in the restaurant was excellent & breakfast was really nice.
We were on our way from Netherlands to Hamburg and for our luck, we passed by Westerstede and found booking in this house. Simply, it felt home for us. Next time we will plan to stay longer. Thanks for the owner for the ease of handing in the keys to us. I hope they keep us with this standard and that visitors who come and stay at this house, to respect the property and take good care of it.

The breakfast was delicious, the rooms spacious and plenty of room for the family, and the spa area was very nice and modern. The hotel was also reasonably accommodating for children and the free chocolate was of course amazing for the kids - they could NOT get enough!
breakfast was really good, plenty of variety, restaurant local and seasonal products- staff helpful in explaining when necessary, next time I visit this hotel I will take my bicycle along as there are plenty of trails to be explored.
NOTHING - stay in the Altes Stadthaus its sister hotel - actual friendly helpful staff on site, comfortable spacious rooms, clean open corridors, excellent breakfast and dining offering, better value
