It was exceptionally clean. The space was well utilized. The kitchen and bathroom seemed brand new. We had restful sleep as the neighborhood was quiet. The grocery store was close by and we could walk to a great local restaurant

Solingen is very easy to get around and is set in a very beautiful area. It is convenient to all travel means to get to Dusseldorf and beyond. There are more than enough food shopping stores and restaurants.

It is very quiet beautiful German town with small neat houses (life boils in the center). Location is good - you may get by railways to any part of the Germany or even Europe using connecting trains from nearby cities. It is stretched out - would be more convinient getting the car (especially if you want to see the sights).

The Klingenmuseum was well worth the the entire trip! The exhibits are excellent and the staff enthusiastic and knowledgeable. A visit to the Wüsthof factory store is also a good idea and if you like Haribo gummy bears, well, Solingen seems the place to go.

The beds are comfortable. The owners live on the ground floor, and were at home to welcome us, hand over the keys and inform us about the area. We stayed on the second floor, and we enjoyed the view over Solingen and surrounding area. There are shops and supermarkets within easy walking distance. Restaurant Weegerhof, nearby, provides good home cooked German and Croatian food which is excellent value for money.
