Its a very nice location and overall the hotel had a nice traditional feel. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good overall. The room was satisfactorily clean. The drive to the hotel was pleasant. Very low price so reasonable value for money.

Sasbachwalden is a beautiful village in the foothills of the Black Forest. It is nestled in the middle of some of the finest vineyards of the Rhine Valley and is the home of the renowned Vintner's Coopérative, Winzergenossenschaft Alder Gott. The wines are pricey, but well worth the trip.
Visitors should not miss the hike up the " Gaishölle" waterfalls (there is also the option to take a public bus to the top of the falls and hike down. Coming out at the top, hikers are rewarded with a bteathtaking panorama of the Rhine Valley and, depending on the time of day, gorgeous sunset over the Vosges mountains of France on the other side. On a clear day, you can spot Straßburg Cathedral.

A very nice old village with old German architecture.
A very nice old village with old German architecture. A small center with few shops but many restaurants. Accommodation I guess it would be very nice in any hotel or pension from this village because of the nice surrounding's landscape. If you are here don't hesitate to taste the local wine Alde Gott - the Black Forest wine from their special shop on the main road.

We were walking the West Weg and getting to and from the hotel was very easy by bus from Unterstmatt, where the trail meets the road. We didn't have time to explore the village but it looked very pretty from what we could see.
Very friendly owner who did everything to make us feel welcome and always went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Mrs. Schneider made sure my child was well taken care of, especially in terms of breakfast options and we were even able to make ourselves some sandwiches to take along our trips to the surrounding area. The location of the Landhaus was quiet and very idyllic. And by car it just takes 15-30 minutes to reach most hiking paths around the Schwarzwaldhochstraße. We would gladly come and stay again some time in the future.
The room I had was spacious and plenty of room for me and my motorcycle gear. The staff were all very polite and helpful. There was a very good explanation of the facilities on arrival. The pool was open and there was a sauna for guest use. There is not a bar per se but an area where you can serve yourself drinks and pay later and coffee and tea available. The local village is down the hill where there are good German restaurants however if you are not very mobile then walking down hill is ok, but it is very steep on the return.
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay in Landhaus Schoenen. It's a super nice family-owned boutique hotel with warm rural vibe. The location is perfect, the hotel is on the hill, which gives it an incredible panoramic view of vineyards and nearby towns. It's a short walk to restaurants and shops in Sasbachwalden town. Baden-Baden and Mummelsee lake are a short drive away and made very nice day trips for us. Petra was super helpful and attentive host. We really enjoyed our conversations during the breakfast!
Apartment - very nicely finished with all the fittings you would need for a stay, we made the most of the mini bbq on the terrace!
Location- great spot with a short and beautiful walk through the vineyards into the town centre of Sasbachwalden
Checkin/Out - easy!
Host - Firat and his family were extremely responsive and attentive to any/all questions we had, they made our stay extra memorable which was greatly appreciated by the group.
We look forward to returning!!
Room is very specious, clean and well decorated. The best room we had during the trip (out of 5 different places).
Hotel owns a Michelin restaurant (at ground floor), but be aware that you must reserve in advance! We weren't lucky to get a table on arrival.
They were very kind to offer extra vegan options for the breakfast (2 kinds of extra spreads and a soy milk).
This family are the perfect hosts and the hotel is immaculate. All the staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay a real pleasure. Of course, the absolute bonus is the Michelin rated restaurant. Fantastic food and wine, prepared and delivered with real pride, all in a magical Black Forest setting. Go there !
Actually this was a saver to us where the hotel nearby we booked they rejected our booking , in 2 mins i made the booking and was in hotel host was amazing !!!!!! She helped alot place is too cozy and comfy the restaurant is yummy , i liked the shared laundry room ! And parking is available !!
The view over the valley from the hotel and balcony is phenomenal. The hotel is also in the middle of the schnapps hike #1. Rooms are huge and there is an indoor pool available for use. Breakfast is included and had a wonderful selection of eggs, breads, meats, cheeses, etc
Breakfast was great. Lovely walking paths more or less 100m from the hotel which connect to lots of very interesting places. I would also say visit the beautiful little gem just above the hotel - the "Friedenskapelle St Katarina" - for me it's a very special place.
Excellent apartment in excellent location. Melanie and Armin were really quick to solve our doubts and helpfull. I really recommend staying here, with all commodities in the heart of Sasbachwalden. Our balcony had one amazing view to the valley.
The facilities were nice although the parking is situation is a little complicated. You can't enter the hotel through the guest parking area and have to walk out through the street to another level to get into the hotel.
