We had a beautiful and comfortable room that looked out on the St. Blasien Dom (Cathedral). The bakery below provided a tasty continental breakfast (the bread rolls were AMAZING). The proprietors were hospitable, communicative, and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and hike.

Offering scenic views of Lake Schluchsee and Mount Feldberg, this non-smoking hotel in Schluchsee offers a modern spa and a garden with 2 lakeside terraces.
Nice village in the middle of the black forest.
The Dome is superb; explanations are only in German, though. It is an active religious building, hence check for mass hours.
The rest of the village is a 20 minutes walk around.
Small (2-4 hours) hikes around the village. Plenty more nearby.
Simple rooms but then you got everything you need and you are right at the cathedral and can explore the town and the surrounding Black Forest area. Hotel has a nice restaurant but for breakfast I would recommend one of the local bakeries or small original restaurants such as Rosalie which is just next door.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment is quite spacious and new, with modern design. It is close to the center of the St. Blasien village, with several supermarkets, and many stores and restaurants. A visit to Dom St. Blasien is highly recommended.
The hotel is in a quiet location. Barely any sounds. The staff were really friendly. I had a good time there. I was there to do some local hikes and drive around the southern black forest regions. This place was a nice starting point for a lot of small trips.
Superb hotel with a great location. We had a very spacious room with a great view. We could also hear the water stream when we kept the windows open. The gentleman staff member we were interacting with was very polite and friendly.
The location is just perfect!!!! Fabulous hiking trails start right from the hotel. In the early morning and in the evening you can walk around meeting very few people.
The room was very clean. We had everything we needed.
A very warm and personal welcome. Planning the breakfast the night before makes a lot of sense - avoiding waste (and gluttony!). A very handy location just above town. Direct contact with the hotel can be recommended.
Breakfast was basic, but good. Everything we wanted was there and the hours to come and eat were nice. The staff at this hotel is one of the best thing it has going for it. Really very nice and helpful.
Location, nice view. Good big fridge. Lidl supermarket around the corner. Parking. Friendly owner bringing the key from their hotel, though we arrived around 21.30 in the evening.
