A room with a view across the lake - beautiful. We arrived late due to traffic and had missed dinner but the staff were accomodating and allowed us to dine in despite the kitchen being closed. This was much appreciated and our waitress was helpful and attentive. Room was fine. My youngest daughter loved sleeping in a fire truck bed!

Arrival was simple - we received clear instructions for how to pick up the keys and enter the parking area. The location is great and was very quiet. The balcony is quite nice in the mornings for breakfast when the sun is shining.

The property was exceptional. We really felt at home, having all the facilities that we could possibly need.
The host was incredibly friendly and really cared for us having a great stay.
And the best of all, I felt our dog was truly welcomed. While in some places dogs are tolerated or accepted, this was the first place where it felt that she was welcomed. There were doggy bowls in a dog eating area, a cushion for her and treats. She was even allowed to go on the couch, which had a protective cover, and she had dedicated blankets. Just amazing!

Visited Mohnesee on a motorcycle tour and to visit the Mohne...
Visited Mohnesee on a motorcycle tour and to visit the Mohne Dam, scene of the Dambusters Operation from WWII. Wonderful roads and scenery in the area, enhanced by the colour of the leaves just starting to turn. We were blessed with good weather and huge blue skies which added to the Autumnal atmosphere.
Our accommodation, Hotel Forsthaus, far exceeded our expectations, with a slightly elevated position on the lakeside giving magnificent views out over the lake. The food, drink and hospitality extended by our host were first class. I would love to visit again, although for longer next time.
We stayed for one week and enjoyed the peace & quiet of the Möhnesee in winter time. Great location and surroundings for a walk. The hosts were really kind. The apartment was comfortable and complete. We booked the studio, but were offered the larger apartment, which was really great with separate bed- and livingroom. All you need is there. Dog friendly. Beautiful garden and views too!
I wanted a one night stopover close to Mohnesee, and this place absolutely delivered - simple comfy room with view of the lake, great breakfast and excellent evening menu in the restaurant. Friendly welcome, plenty of parking, all good.
beautiful location, very quiet and spacious for a single room that combines sleeping living and kitchen.
Well equipped with everything you need for a short stay.
Better then a hotel room, with lovely and friendly hosts.
The apartment was exceptionally clean and the owners were so lovely. My children even got a little Easter surprise. This was so thoughtful. The location is great and in walking distance to the Möhnesee.
Great setting and marvellous views, Food was excellent and the beer nice and cold after a long day riding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I thoroughly recommend the Hotel .
The staff went above and beyond what they needed to do, by waiting for us well beyond their going home time and guiding me to the hotel when the bridge we needed to go across was closed
