Königslutter has one of the finest Romanesque churches in Germany. A must for lovers of medieval architecture. Next to it there is a spectacular 1000 year old lime tree. Also a must if you like that sort of thing.

For those looking for a fairytale experience, this hotel is for you. Not only is the German architecture from a bygone era, the hotel itself is located in a picturesque village decorated in wintry, festive style in preparation for Christmastime. The hotel staff were absolutely lovely both in welcoming their foreign visitors and supporting us every step of the way. The continental buffet filled our stomachs and set us up perfectly for the day ahead. Will definitely return should we ever come this way again.
Charming, little hotel in a small village, close to the A2 highway. The hotel is run by the family with half/Australian roots, and you can find there lots of finishes, pictures and gadgets from the "Down-under".
Lovely and very friendly owners.
Since few years it has become our favourite stop-over hotel on our way cross the Germany. Always delicious and varied breakfast, making a good start to continue the journey.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel zur Post. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. The facilities were very pleasant and clean, rooms very comfortable, and the bathrooms fully renovated.
Staff was very accommodating and the food was quite good (both at dinner time and the breakfast buffet). It’s also fun to take in all the Australian decor throughout the hotel. We expect to return.
The room was very spacious with plenty of room for our family of five. Very clean and we felt safe. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking was free and secure right in front of the hotel. Our children enjoyed the view of chickens and garden from the room! Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great location, huge and comfy bed, owners very nice. Liked the Australian themed decorations throughout the hotel. Great choices of food for breakfast, hot and cold. Arrived late but they kindly still served us in the restaurant. Chef is an Australian guy, food is tasty.
Property was very modern and clean. All the staff were very friendly. The room was quite large and the beds were very comfortable. The parking and good location near A2 was a plus :)
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Booked as a last minute 'park and search for somewhere'.
HUGE sports facility type hotel in the country.
Plenty of parking. Great onsite restaurant and bar but also not far from local town if you wanted other options.
Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. The restaurant can be recommended. Very good value for money. You can park easily, there is ample free parking. If I am around I certainly would go back.
A great place to stay, also if you are traveling with a pet. It only costs 5 euros extra when other hotels can charge much more. You can also take your pet for dinner in the garden.
