Wonderful hotel! Spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. Rooms are big and appear soundproof - a big plus travelling with three dogs. The staff was accommodating and super nice. Will definitely return!

Hagen was much bigger than we expected, so we had a bit of trouble finding the hotel. It is right in the middle of the city. It would have been more convenient for us if we could have found a hotel closer to the autobahn. That however, was our problem for misjudging the location. The room was very nice, spacious. One of the best rooms we had during our trip. English speakers readily available.

Run down boring city. 60s style. Suffering from underinvestment. Very poor facilities and venues. Untidy and dirty train station. Was there before in 70s. Nothing changed. Definite lack of funding. Resembles East German cities in 90s. A city left behind I think. Will not hurry back 2/10. Nothing that impressed me. Signs of urban degredation. Unfinished works. Road works. Shabby empty buildings. Untidy, unpainted empty shops. Planners require reeducated.

Very nice and clean city. You'll find there everything you'd need for your trip. Like anywhere in Germany - great transportation system, many destinations to be reached. It's about 40 minutes from Dortmund Airport by car. Hagen is a green and hospitable town! Liked these restaurants much: Wirtshaus Spinne, KaisergartenHeorhii UliantsevUkraine

The breakfast was really good with everything being of high quality (e..g coffee, spelt croissant) and there was a good level of choice. We were also lucky to be able to use the EV charger which made our travel the following day much easier. Vielen danke to all SAXX staff

Inside the hotel was quiet, there is a terrace for smoking or enjoying a beer/beverage. There are a lot of markets and it is 15 minutes away from the city center by foot. All in all for me was a good choise. Keep it up and thank you!

The staff can't be more helpful, lots of nice touches e.g. fresh flowers in bathroom and dining room. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was cold fare, but scrambled eggs were offered and enjoyed. Located close to station and centre and reasonably priced too. Lovely indeed.
