Amazing city with world-class modernist architecture (I especially recommend Bata's Memorial, the interior is breathtaking), the museum and gallery in Bata's Institute are worth recommending too. Favorite spots: Baťa's skyscraper (n. 21) – rooftop view, coffee bar. Baťa's Institute 14|15 with museum with exposure called "BAŤA PRINCIPLE: FANTASY TODAY, REALITY TOMORROW" – note: not opened in Monday. The same for Baťa's Monument above the Interhotel. We eat once in Makalu Nepal restaurant. I had coffee in Coffeshop Company on náměstí Míru (square). We visited cinema too. We were there over Christmas and unfortunately everything shuts down from midday Christmas Eve until the 27th. The restaurant in our hotel was open and had a fantastic menu. Service was excellent. Zlin is a modern town but with lots of character and good transport links and good quality and value places to eat and drink. Brno airport is just over an hour away and the road system is very good allowing you to move around without any problem. Zlin is also a great location if you wish to visit the many beautiful towns and villages in the region such as Kromeriz, Olomouc and the spa town of Luhacovice and you can easily spend a day in each.

Carpets in the rooms and curtains in windows (the hotel is next to the block of flats). Checkin and checkout went smooth. Breakfast was ok (150 CZK/person), I liked the cakes. The parking lot is in front of the hotel. Bata's houses and the bike path (7,5km to ZOO) very close to the hotel is a nice bonus.
