Annabel and Mark are very friendly, avalaible and open to discuss. We felt like we were at home.
The place is charline, the view from the Lodge marvelous. You have a panoramic view on Turrialba and irazu volcanos.
The lodge is simply confortable, the dinner very good served in a common room. The breakfast is continental, according to travelers choice whose doesn't want to eat rice one more Time!
To resume, it was a really great stay, the place and people who carry about it being amazing.
I recommend it eyes closed!

Very nice wooden building with 'mountain lodge' flair. Spacious room with 2 double beds (four poster beds with moscito curtains). Lovely flower decoration in the room and bathroom. Nice bathroom with open window (no glass). Strong hot shower and nice towels.

We did a tour to the cheesemaking farm Herencia, high up on the slope of the volcano. Getting there via Google maps was a bit tedious but on the way back we got better directions - via Santa Cruz and Torito. The tour is a great experience! On the way back we visited the national monument at Guayabo. We also tried to reach the Aquiares waterfall, but this is a bit difficult to find and we did not get there in time, had to turn back. The last stretch is climbing over big boulders along the riverbed.Stegeman

The staff were so warm and welcoming and the food was excellent! Our kids loved riding horses and relaxing in the hacienda with a good book. The grounds were stunning and we had a direct view of the volcano. The farm is so close to many activities and adventures, we can't recommend this place enough. We will be back!!

Staying here offers an amazing opportunity to be completely off grid, in a cabin, in the jungle. Walter was a great host.
