I know Tunja well as I am an art historian and very interested in its historical sites. It has many "hidden treasures" in churches and small museums. It is also very close to small towns outside Tunja, such as Oicatá, which are totally worth it! Highly recommend.

Great city. I love cold weather and Tunja has it. Walking around is awesome. The Northern zone of Tunja is simply beautiful. The center of Tunja has Great constructions and history. You can take a bus from Tunja to Villa de Leyva easily. I'll be back in December.
The best hotel in town.
Staff was incredibly kind and willing to help. Tunja is a wonderful city with a lot of art to see, If you stay in Hotel San Ignacio Plaza, you will stay at the best possible location to explore downtown. Everything is within walking distance.
The breakfast was adequate and enough to start the day.
The beds were very comfy.
The cleanliness was perfect.
The hotel is located in an ideal locale, near the historic center. The staff is marvelous, the finest I have encountered, attentive to your needs and unfailingly courteous. They serve an outstanding breakfast, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to visitors to Tunja.
The hotel is located on the main street with a lot of traffic, but the rooms are in the basement and quiet, because there are no windows. Bathroom was clean and new. Hot water and wifi is fine. 30 min walk to bus station, 10 min to city centre. Friendly lady at the counter.
The hotel is in a quiet area of town (by a park) but walkable (10-15mins perhaps) from the main square and the restaurant areas.
I came during Covid and the manager was very careful - even towels were plastic wrapped.
Wonderfully helpful staff who went beyond their duties to help. The hotel is located opposite a park and very close tothe main square. It maid a short sightseeing visit in Tunja very pleasant.
The room was very comfortable. Location was great. The common area of the hotel was very cute, in colonial style with lots of antiques. Overall a very cool little place to stay in Tunja.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. It is a small hotel but it seems like they pay attention to details. The location is from walking distance to the down town.
The room and the hotel was great, they also have a share kitchen to prepare your own meal. When we arrived they gave us a welcome drink... nice detail.
