Spectacular rocky shoreline on the peninsula but spoiled...
Spectacular rocky shoreline on the peninsula but spoiled somewhat by the nearby industry. The town is a working port, not some Chilean Skegness (for that, and the attendant hordes, go to Horcon nearby), so it has character and the usual grubby bits. Go out to the point (Pirate's Cave) and watch scores of pelicans and boobies stream past on their way out to the fishing grounds, and keep a weather eye out for whales and dolphins - its a good spot to see them from the shore (binoculars necessary, it's not SeaWorld).
