Clean room, good breakfast, amazing view, near Ski resort and friendly staff.
Just 984 feet from the Maschgenkamm Cable Car, the Cristal Hotel is right next to the slopes and a ski elevator of the Tannenboden/Flumserberg Ski Area.

The hotel was a lovely place to stay during my short time in Flumserberg. It’s walking distance to the bus stop and to all of the amenities the town has to offer. The room was cozy and clean, the breakfast was very good, and the service was excellent. I also can’t recommend the spa enough.

I stayed just one night here, a tag-on from a weekend with a friend. The actual skiing was really good, with some lovely runs. Not a massive ski area, but more than enough for 2-3 days.
Only down side is that I didn't see many apres bars, but I wasn't really there long enough to explore.
Really easy resort to get to from Zurich Airport - the trains are good and you can easily get the gondola up from Unterterzen train station, making this a good option for a weekend break.

Overall, our stay at this wooden cottage in Flumserberg was a winter dream come true. The combination of a charming home, welcoming hosts, and the enchanting surroundings made our Christmas holiday truly special. If you're looking for a cozy retreat in the Swiss Alps, this is the place to be. We can't wait to return for another dose of mountain magic!
One of the most memorable highlights of our stay was the magical Christmas dinner we shared with our hosts, where traditions from both our home country and Switzerland blended seamlessly. The dining table, adorned with festive decorations, became a symbol of unity as we exchanged stories and laughter over a delectable spread that featured a delightful mix of local Swiss specialties and our favorite holiday dishes.

Flumserberg is an excellent small ski resort which is very well suited for families and small children. Despite the lack of snow in the Alps generally, nearly half of the pistes in Flumserberg are open and the quality of the snow (lots of snow cannons) is surprisingly good.

The region has quite a lot of interesting attractions to offer, as well for the summer as for the winter, altough however it seems like it's more targetted to winter time. Yet there are interesting options for enthusiasts of biking, hiking, trekking and probably also climbing. In Tannenboden one can find a gondola-lift taking at the level of some 2000 meters, where few hiking tracks are available. There is also a chair-lift with which one can go to the lower level and find a chance to go down with sledge-runway, adapted for children (under this link more details on that https://www.flumserberg.ch/en/information/Open-facilities/Summer )
There is quite a lot of hotels around so anyone can find something suitable for the stay. However if you'd like to find youself in the middle of the mountains, with a beautiful lake near, and no civilization at least within 1000 meters around, you should look for Berghotel Seebenalp.
Deifnitely a must-visit place for mountain lovers.

It's a great ski area for 1 or a couple days, for longer stays it may be a bit boring; it's the easiest one to reach from Zurich (of a good size), also with public transport. Great - and growing number of - summer activities too. The view to the Walensee and the Churfisten is priceless.

Nice mid-sized ski station with a good varity of pistes.
Nice mid-sized ski station with a good varity of pistes. Unfortunatly they don't seem to take the corona regulations very serriously, there were no corona-pass checks done when purchasing liftpasses, at the gondla most users and all the staff I saw were using fabric/fleece ski masks (not FFP2 or OP masks), there was no controlled queing at the gondla or at any of the chairlifts. The only restaurant I saw that had any controls was the big self-service at Prodalp.
Great location not even 10 minutes from the bus stop and lift running up the mountain.
Room is very small (as expected) and a bit dark since it is under the roof and the only light source is from the window opening toward the little balcony area.
Very well equipped kitchen area with everything one might need. Great views of the other side of the valley (either towards the mountains across or towards the open area of the valley, depending on which of the attic apartments one has).
Everything very clean and owners in house and very friendly.
The hotel is right next to the Tannenheim lift station, you can ski to within meters of the front door. Free onsite outdoor parking is great now that Flumserberg has gone to paid parking everywhere (the hotel has indoor parking but you have to pay). Super friendly and helpful staff. I was in a single room in the older part of the hotel. It was old and had not been modernised but the room & bathroom were clean, warm and quite, for the price (in CH and direct by the lift with parking) it is great value for money. Breakfast included.
It was a stormy, snowy day, and I was welcomed by one of the warmest gentlemen from the reception. They went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable. Whatever I asked, they answered. They also provided an awesome breakfast buffet!
On the day of the checkout, I stored my suitcases at the hotel for a few hours to go skiing one last time. When I went back to get my luggage, they had left a couple of fruit on my suitcase, which I found very warm and thoughtful.
The apartment, although small, has everything you need for a week of skiing. Location is excellent, the apartment itself has been styled very tasteful, kitchenette is well utilized, the beds are very good, the shower is perfect, and the hosts are the friendliest and most helpful. We immediately felt very much at home! we would definitely consider going back to this apartment for a future week of skiing, or summer vacation.
All I would expect of a typical 3-star hotel in a ski region during winter. Parking in front of the hotel was no problem, ski storage room is placed very handy. The view from the room is amazing (Churfisten), common areas (e.g. corridors, bathrooms) are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is simple (average), not particularly good nor bad. Everyone from the staff was very kind and friendly - in spite of being overloaded.
Great place to stay close to the ski resort at an affordable price. It is easy to catch a bus to the ski lifts. I had a friend join me for the last night of my stay, and the staff was very accomodating to switch me to a double room for the last day. The double room had a beautful view, and the per person nightly rate was not that much more expensive. The shower also had great water pressure
Spent 4 nights at the Steinemann's. The apartment was huge, clean, and homely, perfect for families and/ or group of friends.
Theres a ski rental shop right beside and a chair lift / slope right opposite so location is great!
The host family is also very friendly and helpful, making pur stay very pleasant. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Flumserberg!
Very nice family run hotel 3 min walk from the gondola. Clean and comfortable room, comfy beds, bathroom very clean. Nice lobby area. Easy check in. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Excellent breakfast - great variety, fresh food, tasty freshly baked bread, home made jams, good coffee. All in all we loved our short stay.

The staff at the hotel were great, they allowed us to check out a bit later as my wife was feeling unwell and they also gave us a lift to another location at no extra cost. The view from the hotel of the mountains was wonderful. Highly recommended!
Such a lovely place! The price to qualify was great, the owner of the place was super nice and food delicious! The bus stop is next to the hotel. I love the ‘feel like home’ atmosphere and for sure, I will come back soon! :)
Nice hotel not too far from the main ski lifts
Breakfast was nice with enough variety. The hotel was clean and the room comfortable. The shoe and ski facilities are great. The staff very helpful and pleasant.
The location is great. Staff is friendly and lets you put your bags away early so you can go ski. Have stayed here now twice, both worked out really well, especially for the price.
Located within a short walk from the Tannenboden gondola, the Intersport, and several ski lifts this hotel is very convenient. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean.
