Very quiet room, and very comfortable bed, and pillow. I could sleep very well. Breakfast was small, but it was enough. Self check-in was perfect, because I could only come late at night.

The breakfast was simple but good; there was a great choice of cereals/muesli, along with bread, cheeses and fruit. The room was a little on the small size, but I know thanks to my colleague in another room that the sizes are quite variable. The location was ideal for me. Very near the station, easy to walk into town.

A very pretty town, with lovely crisp fresh air. Fabulous selection of shops from fashion to food. Friendly and welcoming cafes and restaurants. Particularly like the pretty main square. Overall a feeling of safety and cleanliness.

Great wee town.
Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.
Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich...
Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

Honestly, there isn't much to do here.
Honestly, there isn't much to do here. I stayed here because it's where the Glacier Express ended. I would not recommend it at a destination but if you need a place to spend the night in this area, it is fine.

Not much in Brig apart from the Stockalper.
Not much in Brig apart from the Stockalper. But it has a small and attractive old town centre, amazing views up to the mountains if weather is clear and, primarily, this is a very good place as a base for travelling by train to other parts of Switzerland on day trips and likewise it is only 30 minutes by train from Italy.
The location on the upper edge of Old Town was excellent with quick access to restaurants and cafes. The breakfast buffet was very good and had large choice. The view from my balcony was probably the best of any hotel in the city. The manager (Ulf) was very pleasant and provided helpful suggestions about where to hike and what to see (and spoke excellent English). There was an elevator to my room on the second floor of the comparatively new building attached to the original.
Excellent breakfast and coffee- whatever you need to start the day good.
Also, the location next to the castle is amazing! It is beautiful, a pleasant 10 mins walk from train station,
Nice little town. We actually extended our stay for 3 more nights since it was very convenient and comfortable to stay. Thanks a lot to the staff and the owner for great hospitality! We enjoyed every minute of it. And hope to be back some time soon.
The hotel is located on a charming square only two blocks from the Brig Hbf. The restaurant served surprisingly good Italian food. The breakfast was not anything to write home about but it was ample. Brig itself has a small but wonderful Old Town with many outdoor restaurants and beautiful buildings to look at. It was nice to spend a night somewhere completely off the worn tourist track.
Our family room with a balcony facing town square was spacious, cozy and super clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive - they contacted me directly in the morning with some useful information. I also liked the tea/coffee/compliment water supply and that they provided glasses for every guest, not standard two glasses as other hotels usually do.
The staff was so kind and even let us check in early. The room was amazing, and the beds were very comfortable. Free towels and a very nice shower made it the best stay of my trip so far. The location was further from Brig than expected, but you can take bus 632 from the train station, and it will drop you off right in front of the residence.
Very friendly and professional staff at the hotel. We got a free upgrade to a room with private bathroom. The hotel is located at the old town with a lovely garden, next to a historical building. The room is quiet at night, and the place is around 10 to 15 mins walk to the train station. We had a nice stay overall.
Beautiful 2nd floor spacious 3 bed room apartment.
Panoramic view of mountains all round. Stunning location.
Very clean and well maintained property.
10 min bus journey(No 3) from Brig train station. Bus stop right in front of the house. Very handy.
Balcony with view of sunset.
This was a great location for reaching multiple areas in the mountains. Brig is also a great city to quietly relax after a day of sight seeing. You truly feel you are immersed in the culture. Patrick and his wife were very gracious hosts.
Very spacious, clean rooms, with beautiful view to the mountains. The hotel is very close to the train station, so you can explore the mountains by train easily. Our room was quiet, becasue the windows were facing the other side.
Beautiful decor and a very attentive staff. The room was charming. The location was ideal to explore the quaint little town of Brig. Coffee on the large terrace area in the morning (and wine in the evening) was sublime.
This family owned and run hotel provided us with a wonderfully warm welcome, a delightful room, and great food.
It is ideally located in Brig, for those travelling by train and keen to explore on foot.
Very relaxing old fashioned hotel. Nothing spectacular, but I slept very well. Advice : pick 3rd floor if you can : quiet and great view. Good breakfast included. Also, good parking ground in front.
Excellent location just in front of the Brig Train Station. Very big & comfortable room. Worth the money. sure to stay in again in the future when re visit brig again. very friendly & nice staff.
The double room is EXCELLENT for families. 4 twin beds in 2 separate rooms and x2 tvs, very comfortable. Customer service is fantastic and the hotel is walking distance from station.
Perfect location, a bit dated but in a relaxing way. The hotel had everything we needed for a stay overnight with our bikes. Really comfortable bed and perfect room temperature.
Very nice spacious room.. lots of space and bathroom is also very big. Very comfortable stay and location is just perfect right outside the train station.
