The woman at reception at 6-7 pm on April 25th was super-friendly, helpful and accommodating. I liked how we were on the ground-floor with a patio door facing grass with our dog.

We flew from Calgary to Halifax then drove to Truro for one night before departing early the next morning for our destination in New Brunswick. Truro was a convenient overnight stop. We did not spend time much time in Truro.

This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
I didn't feel like being in a motel, I felt like being in a clean dungeon without a fridge or a kitchen to have some hot water or warm up a food....
I don't recommend it to anyone!

Truro's Victoria Park is a wonderful place.
Truro's Victoria Park is a wonderful place. The town has great restaurants and is easy to navigate. The people are friendly and helpful.
The roads could use a little work on them.
Thai Express and Mezza where good for tasty fast food.
The British Cafe was great with very friendly staff and you could take your dog to the outdoor patio.

Victoria Park was excellent

Swiss Chalet is the best in the Province
Not to easy to get around Truro. You need a GPS
The Glooscap Trail is great ,very scenic. Truro a great central location to go to other places of interest.
Ruth is a great host, very welcoming, very knowledgeable about the local area and Canada in general. The breakfast was super. The garden is nice. Even though it is a shared accommodation, there is a good deal of privacy, as the bathroom and bedroom are behind a door. The night we stayed, the other room had no guests, btw. Ruth has a friendly older dog, so if you like furry friends that could be a bonus.
The location is nice -- in a residential area but very close to Truro and the Tidal Discovery Site. Truro is a small city.
I loved the variety of food options for the free breakfast. We have stayed at many hotels and this was by far the best selection on food. It was well above our expectations and we will defiantly stay again. Rooms were clean and ready when we checked in. Check in process was very easy. Large TV in the room with cable. We were pleasantly surprised to see a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. All of these amenities were great to have.
We do a lot of 1 night stays at various hotels over the province, I think this may be one of my favourites!! We didn’t spent a ton of time in the hotel, but we never encountered any issues with our stay. Our room was spacious and clean. The hot breakfast was served to you, buffet style and was AMAZING, definitely the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had.
This is an exceptional small comfortable atmosphere. So clean fresh. I have stayed all over the world over 2.000 hotels plus cruise ships. This small motel is beyond anyone’s expectations. Convenience in Truro Great pizza shop across the street, gasoline and drugstore across the street and 5 minutes to hospital for anyone needing to be close
The location was good and the main building was nice. I wish I could have actually enjoyed it. Being a single female occupant in the facility they put me in the motel like building and I did not feel safe walking in the dark to go back to the main building to actually use any of the other benefits of the hotel like the pool or hot tub.
Host is very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions for outings. She is also friendly and obviously enjoys what she does. The breakfast is amazing. The room is clean, beautiful and comfortable. A wonderful stay and when we next return to the Truro area, Suncatcher will be our first call for accommodations.
We only spent one night on our tour of Northeast Nova Scotia. Check in was smooth and easy. The attached restaurant, One 50 on Willow, had a limited menu but the service and food were excellent. Try the butter chicken! Our room was spacious and comfortable and clean. What you would expect from a Best Western.
It was clean, quiet, and comfortable and located close to a mall with selection of restaurants and grocery store. Rooms are very plain and minimal but clean and have fridges as well as coffee maker.
A hundred dollars cheaper than other places in Truro. I liked it and would be happy to stay again.
Jenny and Justin are delightful to talk to and knowledgeable about the are with dining and sights to see recommendations at the ready. Location across from Victoria Park provided a wonderful place to walk and see deer at dusk. A short walk in the other direction is all downtown Truro has to offer.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We tried 3 rooms Firts bed was saggy with Springs sticking up. 2nd room had no screen on patio door nor a working phone. Both rooms stunk like wet dig, mold and cat pee. We would have left if we could have gotten a refund.
It was beyond all our expectations from the friendly welcome to a terrific breakfast. I had a minor but annoying issue with the car and D'Arcy helped me even with that. If we ever come back to Truro this would be our place to stay. Thank you very much Anne and D'Arcy.
The best thing about this motel is it's location to everything else in the city. Made shopping and eating easy, all within walking distance. For a night stay over on route to another destination, it was fine.
The staff were very accommodating for our need for a very late check in and a very early checkout. The room was clean and more modern than I was expected. I would happily stay again if I was in Truro.
