The view was memorizing, the tide differential in fathoms is 5.3 meters. Constantly something different to look at. You can hear the freighters/tankers before you see them. Real was very helpful in identifying places to eat. When I woke up in the morning to dining in a room surrounded by exquisite folk art along w/exceptional Canadian painters work I thought I was in a dream. Sebastian is a true professional hotelier. No detail is overlooked.

The island is bigger than we thought and has several villages, each with their own houses and churches. It's very calm in winter and a great get away still quite close from Quebec city if you have a car!

    Such a nice island!

Such a nice island! I recommend planning to visit on sunny days. We got one day of sunshine which was so fun and one day of rain which made it difficult to find activities to do. Overall amazing place to visit, so much charm. Make sure to go on a Friday or weekend, as everything was closed on a Tuesday. A few things were open on Wednesday. I recommend going cider tasting, taking a scooter around the island (MUST - rent Scooter from motel île d’Orléans), picnicking with cheeses from a local fromagerie, walking by the beach, and tasting local products as much as possible!

Location overlooking St Lawrence was lovely. Staff were very helpful. Room was very clean and our room had a terrace with table and chairs overlooking the river. Hotel restaurant was exceptional. Food was high quality and creative. Linens and towels were good quality and plentiful. Coffeemaker and small fridge in room. Decent size swimming pool available for guests.

Exceeded our expectations. We rented 2 rooms on the ground floor and both were beautiful, spotlessly clean and with sitting patios looking out at the river. The restaurant and hotel were quietly elegant.

The view from the balcony, across the Saint Lawrence river was amazing. And the hotel was super quiet too. Just what we needed after moving around for 14 days and 5 cities that we had covered.

This is a hostel - not a hotel. The main room of the hostel was large and well equipped. Good for families.
