Radium Chalet, hotel in Radium Hot Springs

Located in Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, this hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kootenay National Park. It features free Wi-Fi and views of Columbia Valley and Rocky Mountains.

Nothing. It is an older place and seemed charming from the photos. It is in need of significant upgrades. Older places if well kept and run can be charming. This was neither. The owners are cashing in on an old place while spending as little as possible maintaining it. Run it to the ground. Shame.

We love visiting Radium. It's small, quaint and scenic.

We love visiting Radium. It's small, quaint and scenic. It's typically a one night stop as we drive from Alberta to BC to visit family, but it's one we truly enjoy. Our last trip allowed us to find a quaint little hotel, Inn on Canyon, that is a hidden gem. A budget friendly place with a warm welcome and wow! It was so clean and fresh smelling, not fake or chemically induced - just clean and fresh. If you get a chance to eat at Helna's Stube, you're in for a treat if you love German food (schnitzel!!) and you can't beat a stop at Screamers Ice Cream on a hot day (or, even a cold one if you love ice cream).

We went in the winter months, so it wasn't busy.

We went in the winter months, so it wasn't busy. Which was great! Staff was really friendly and walked around the pool for safety. It was relaxing and we loved looking at the mountains. It is right off the highway, so careful going in and out of the parking lot. There was one man who kept chatting up the single women which was creepy, but staff kept an eye on him.

Radium is a great little village that I have stayed a number of times over the years. It is close enough to places like Banff and Lake Louise to make day trips to but avoid the inflated hotel prices. Plus they have a ton of their own great attractions in both summer and winter.

Great little town with good restaurants and coffee shops.

Great little town with good restaurants and coffee shops. Amazing wildlife - big horned sheep- wandering around town. Close to natural hot springs , hikes, lake Windermere and panorama ski resort. The visitors centre is perfect for all the information on how to get to the natural hot springs , and hike the hoodoos rock formations. Hot springs in town are perfect at dark . Wolf sanctuary is a 1 hour drive north and well worth the visit. 🐺

Appreciated the fridge, microwave. Bed was comfortable and I liked that it had the wood laminate flooring as opposed to carpet. Really appreciated that the hotel accommodated a late arrival. We arrived two hours later than we had planned. Just at office closing time. But management left a key for our room in a lock box. That worked perfectly and was such a relief. Restaurants and convenience store in walking distance.

The hotel's location is excellent, just an hour and a half drive from Banff and half an hour to Panorama Resort, and hot springs only 10 minutes away. Situated atop with incredible views, the hotel offers a spacious room consisting of a bedroom and a living area, complete with a fireplace and balcony. The staff is friendly. Let's conclude this positive review here.

The hotel was newly renovated and modernized. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable . The breakfast was above any continental breakfasts I’ve had in other hotels. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and the Celadon Lodge was honestly my best experience. Very reasonably priced and I can’t say enough good things about the owner. She was so kind and accommodating.

The pool and hot tubs were a big hit and saved the trip as the weather wasn't great. Our bed was super comfy. Don't think I've ever slept so well in a hotel/condo/bed away from home. :) The golf course staff were nice enough to lend a golf cart even though my boys were just going to the driving range. They thought that was fun.

Room was super clean, comfortable and a great price. We stayed just one night on our way to a hockey tournament in BC but it had everything we needed. The hotel even called me right away when they found I had left my book. They held it for me to pick up on our way back through. Very thoughtful!

Romantic hotel tucked away in the mountains. A far better stay than being on the strip of hotels in the valley. The balconies in the rooms offer views of mountains all around. There is a bedroom, living, and small kitchenette. The room and space were clean and it was very quiet.

Kim is superb friendly and attentive. She does all the works - reception, kitchen and 24HRs customer service. She recommended us to the Radium Hot Springs which is very good, $8 per pax, remember to check the last call. Overall, the Canyon Inn is cozy and comfortable.

It is a clean and cozy model. It's located near a brewery and a main street. If you want to stay in the Radium Hot Springs - it's definitely one of the best choices. Small breakfast and kitchen is a bonus for this price.
