The harbour view was absolutely excellent the room was spacious very clean and extremely comfortable the manager was amazing showed me to my room pointed out the coffee machine let me know there was complimentary water and snacks in the room one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in I have stayed in rooms that were 400.00 a night that weren’t as comfortable as my room at harbour view definitely will stay again and will be recommending to friends and family
Just 500 metres from the coast, Chisholms of Troy Coastal Cottages are all equipped with BBQ facilities and a patio overlooking St. George’s Bay and the Strait of Canso.

The location is good. The rooms are decent with comfortable beds
Located in Guysborough in the Nova Scotia region, cozy apartment near the ocean provides accommodation with free private parking. The accommodation is non-smoking.
We only stayed for the night. The owner gave us a couple places to choose from for supper and breakfast. Both were good places to eat. The room was unexpected in a very good way! Clean, bright, inviting. The bed was super comfortable and the bedding was cheery and comfy. It looked like each room/cabin(?) had its own hot water heater, so no worries there. I would definitely go back there!

We enjoyed dinner at Pappa's Pub and previously lunch at the Fleur de Lis. We have stayed in Port Hawkesbury on two occasions and have had horrible experiences with accommodations. Have I missed something? Are there any decent accommodations in the town?

I have been to the area many different times over the years with the Lions and Health Board for conventions and we always have a good time there. It is a beautiful area. Sometime when I am not in such a hurry I want to explore the area and learn more on what the area is all about and what the history of the area is. It is easy to get around and the people are very friendly and helpful.

The town of Port Hawkesbury itself seems like a very pleasant place but we were just passing through and arrived late and left early. I can see us returning though to explore but we would stay at a difference hotel.

Well if you need to pick up supplies ,this is probably best choice for any selection of groceries or supplies. This is just a place to stop by through travels... not a place to vacation for a week. People were friendly... but I think everyone is friendly in Cape Breton.

Perfect location and view and wind-protected back yard with firepit. Adorable house with all needed and artistic sensibility. Best yet: a tabletop fan in the bedroom for perfect sleep time white noise. Oh and a nice fleecy blanket for cozy time in the living room. Hosts were super accommodating too, and Port Hawkesbury a perfect sized town to stock up for the next leg of my road trip. Loved it!
I thought the location was great, there was a walking trail just down at the bottom of the property. Everyone we met there and in the area were fabulous. A five minute drive from Port Hawkesbury where we were able to shop for groceries. Kaleids are a common occurance Across the area and we were able to take in a couple of fabulous shows.
We used Port Hawkesbury as our base to explore Cape Breton. Unfortunately the cafe attached to the rentals was closed due to lack of staff and food distribution issues. There isn't many places to eat in Port Hawkesbury so this was disappointing.
It was a nice location, a little noisy with the traffic. Comfortable bed. Plenty of plugs and USB ports. Nice to be able to park outside your room and have a door on the other end to get inside the hotel. Nice hot shower.
It was very close to where we needed to go and so close to all amenities. The restaurant in the hotel, Miller's, has excellent breakfast choices as well as lunch and dinner and reasonably priced. The food is great!
Modern rather characterless hotel but that was what I was expecting. Clean with comfortable bed and standard bathroom
Restaurant on site serving evening meals with good choice and a complementary breakfast
We stayed at Port Hawkesbury on our way to the National Park. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable. It was also good we could park the car outside and had direct access to the car park.
We stayed in a two bedroom cottage which was Super Cute and overlooking the Strait of Canso and Port Hawkesbury. Wonderful view from a hillside. 10 minute drive to shops and eateries.
it’s a lovely home (it feels like a home instead of an hotel. it has art made by the owner and plants and games/toys. It’s a really great place to stay
