I liked that the staff made great efforts to help me have the quietest experience possible. When my car didn’t start when I was leaving, the staff were SUPER HELPFUL to help with a battery boost.

This older Victorian home was very well maintained and provided space for dining, access to a closed in sunroom at the front as well as the private backyard. Our room had a very comfortable king sized bed and two comfortable easy chairs, a fireplace and an updated ensuite bathroom with a very well appointed shower. The owners also provided a small frig, a coffee machine with coffee tea and cream stocked.
The home was very well located and within a short 5 minute walk to the town centre where there were shops, a restaurant and coffee shop etc. It was not too far from the trail and boardwalk along the shores of Lake Huron.
The breakfasts were excellent and beautifully prepared and presented with lots of variety, providing juice, fruit and yogurt, a hot entree, muffins/scones and tea or coffee. It was sufficiently satisfying that we did not feel the need for lunch!
Particularly enjoyable and a pleasant surprise was a welcome drink on our arrival! Choice of tea, coffee, or wine/beer! Especially appreciated after a lengthy journey in the car!!

Goderich was an unexpected delight - good restaurants, an excellent coffee shop (Cate's), bakeries and lots of shops. Excellent cider (East Street Cidery). The improvements the town has made following the bad tornado some years ago are really impressive, especially the mature trees in courthouse square. We had expected to spend more time in near-by Bayfield - which is a charming town - but we ended up staying in Goderich and the country-side (Benmiller). And it is true: the Lake Huron sunsets are magnificent!

We have always enjoyed our visits to Goderich. The boardwalk walks along the beach are the best and sunsets are frequently a highlight. There is a wonderful variety of good restaurants: Beach Street Station one of the best for location and menu. A unique and engaging downtown octagon!

Upon arrival at Goderich you are first struck by a typical British looking octagonal road design.
The town is pleasant and the local community has it all figured out!
Life seems quiet in this small but well amenitized town. There is a local market in the town octagon centre!
Fresh produce and trinkets and everything in between are available at this charming fair held on weekends!
Remember to bring your sun screen and your good mood because Goderich has a lot to offer everyone.
A fantastic public beach awaits you! (Paying parking)

Goderich is a lovely historical town that takes you back in time a bit. It's super charming with stunning homes in the area. I love the town square, where there are weekend markets, concerts in the park, and pretty much every thing you want within walking distance. There are great restaurants, shops, bakeries, as well as the beaches and parks. It's the perfect weekend getaway spot.

The most beautiful, picturesque town with the friendliest people and I would highly recommend anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of a small town near the water, Goderich is the perfect location to go.
Spacious parking, beatiful lanscaped building. Quiet area, staff friendly, clean, quiet (we there during week), continental breakfast was unbelievably varient. Loved waffle maker.
Our room was clean awesome as had sofa couch extra and seating area(half wall. Microwave mini fridge.
Town very beautiful and beach not far.
Beach street restaurant right at beach, recommend the pickeral.
We never been to Goderich and we were impressed. Quiet tourist town (weekends busy).
Ps:must go to Culberts bakery,Cream puffs delicious.
Excellent taste in furnishings and design. Welcome and reception exceptional along with the continental breakfast. In fact, I had messaged the hotel before arriving asking if there would be vegan options…they said yes but I was so so pleased that the selections far surpassed what I was expecting. Also, I recommend getting a room on the river-view side as it really added to the charm and hotel experience. We will definitely spread the word about this gem of a place to stay in a lovely little town in Ontario!
The location is ideal for day trips to other areas including Bayfield, Stratford and Goderich. It is quaint and charming. Although dated in many ways, the history on the previous owners’ vision of turning this wooden mill into an adult playground was fascinating. If you like antiques, post and beam construction and patio dining this is perfect. Having the conservation trails within walking distance was ideal.
We would return.
I have stayed in this hotel several times and this is my and my wife's favorite place to spend a night on hiking trips in the Provincial Parks on the lake (during the months when it is too cold for camping). We like the pool and the sauna. The breakfast is light but it is nice to have it included, to have something to eat before leaving the hotel.
The room is very nice and cozy, the bed is quite nice with a heater across from the bed. There is a nice smart TV and plenty of space around. The view of the river is nice and there is an outdoor area for each room. It is overall a great hotel to stay in for vacation and I would definitely stay here again if I visit Goderich again.
The location was on the outskirts of Goderich. Kitchenette was well equipped, two burner stove, stainless kitchen sink, as well as kettle, coffee maker, and microwave. Internet worked well, as did Television.
There was also a new gas bbq outside for guests to use.
I enjoyed a quiet undisturbed sleep.
Our second time here, and the new owners, a lovely family in their own right, are carrying on the well established family-friendliness that attracted us here in the first place. The other guests seem consistently to be reasonable, responsible people in Goderich to enjoy recreation and summer fun…
I love this location. The bright colours is a refreshing change from the same run of the mill hotels. The new bed was soo comfy and the bath tub is awesome to just relax in. The location is close to everything. Will be staying here again as we always do when we go to Goderich.
The location on the town square across from the beautiful courthouse and park was perfect for an in-town stay. Lots of free parking available around the square out front and in the rear hotel lot. Convenient to shops and restaurants and a short drive to the waterfront.
The motel is in a good location. Close to everything we wanted to visit. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are polite. They also have an indoor pool which is great for a relaxing swim. We will for surely stay there again when visiting Goderich.
There was no breakfast but the Motel is close to all activities we were interested in including great eateries. We were in Goderich for the Celtic Festival and were able to walk to the festival, farmers market and flea market and to eat.
Located outside just outside Goderich. Nice and quiet. Rooms exceptionally clean. Beds very comfortable. Shower hot. Hosts friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
