Pool and hot tubs were great after a long drive. Location is convenient to the small town and its shops and few restaurants.

This was our first stay at Paradise Lodge and Bungalows. When we entered the cabin, it was a "wow" moment for us. Cozy, clean, nicely decorated, newer furnishings, a comfortable bed and an awesome bathroom with a deep tub (my wife loves to bathe in the evening) in addition to a standalone shower. My wife said I did a great job in picking a place to stay. I didn't do a great job, the owners and staff did a remarkable job! I have already recommended this place to others planning to visit the area.

The apartment was a well done remodeled lodging that was completely equipped. The only negative with the apartment was there was no view. When we had questions about something Charlie was very prompt in responding. The location was close to Banff National Park and the cost was way less than Lake Louise lodgings I found. There is a very good restaurant (Truffle Pigs Bistro) to walk to just a block down the street. It was the perfect fit for our travels.
Boasting views of the Canadian Rockies, this adults only property is located in Field, British Columbia. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms. Lake Louise is 30 minutes’ drive away.

Clean, clean, clean! beautiful views! fabulous restaurant close to Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, Takkakaw Falls and Banff!

Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't get to experience a roaring fire in your lake side room, the hiking trails even around the lake are beautiful!! The Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse pass is on the same road, and is a Must See! The Town of Field is a quaint little village that is great for photos of train tracks and often Elk.
Takkaka Falls are also just before the Village of Field exit. Although the road to the parking lot is closed until spring and its like a 16 km trek in! So go in the summer for sure to get right up to the falls! They are stunning!

We liked the room but the stairs up to our unit were extremely steep when carrying luggage. Our balcony overlooking Emerald Lake was lovely but smoky while we were there. We took our own fan which was good advice from my sister. It was very hot at that time. Once the tourists left the lake around 5 pm it became very peaceful. Enjoyed walking around the resort in the evening. It was too hot to use the wood burning fireplace. Would love to come back to stay in some of the other cabins.

We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field.
We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field. Notwithstanding this, the village itself is quite interesting. To stay in the village overnight you have to be impervious to train noise. The mountains surrounding Field and the attractions close by are outstanding. It's beauty surpasses Lake Louise, in my opinion.

We had a really great time here .
We had a really great time here .If anyone is looking for a little winter wonderland this is the place. Beautiful place to stay right on the lake. My husband and I went snow shoeing which was a really beautiful trail. Had an amazing dinner and bottle of wine curled up by the fire in the main lodge, service is great. Would highly recommend checking this place out with your partner. Very romantic.

Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information...
Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information center, and nearness to local attractions such as Kicking Horse Mountain and Takakka Falls. I understand that there is a 2 hr walk from Takakka falls that takes in 5 other waterfalls, several as appealing as Takakka Falls that I wish I had known about sooner.
Emerald Lake is gorgeous. We stayed three nights, two full days, and got to really see it in many different climates - cloud covered, sunny, and all in between. The staff is great and helpful. Food is good and reasonably priced considering how remote you are. Rooms are a bit tired but we’re clean and beds comfortable. We had a lake view room and sitting on the patio was very relaxing. Also do not miss the hike around the lake - about 3 miles. Beautiful views!!
Emerald Lake is an incredible place in terms of scenery, geology, etc.
Meals in the dining room were well prepared, but pricey. Lounge food also tasty and less expensive.
Shuttle between overnight parking and lodge was efficient and shuttle drivers were friendly and informative.
Great views from many locations.
Hikes were great, especially the trail around the lake. Swimming was cold, but worth doing and many places to enter the lake.
The location is enviable but you can’t allow that to carry the hotel. It’s a shame, as better management and more attention to detail could make this a great property. It seemed that the last refurbishment was back in the 80s or 90s and that ever since it has lured in guests dazzled by the stunning surrounds. However the bar and waiting staff that we had were cheerful fun and friendly for which we were thankful.
The views from the room were amazing and the experience of being so close to the lake was fantastic. We loved walking around the lake in the morning. We thought the room was a good size and comfortable. We were able to order dinner from the bar even though the restaurant was fully booked and the staff in the restaurant were great. The parking was free and the shuttle from the hotel was good.
Very comfortable and clean place set in the mountains that had everything we needed. It had a small kitchen that was very functional, a large bathroom with laundry and a bed with a sitting area and TV. It was a basement apartment with its own entrance and was very private. Field is a great spot to explore Yoho Park and all the trails. Charlie was very accommodating and helpful.
Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Keen to make everything work as best they could. Responsive when asked for help. Location from an "access to beautiful things" point of view was amazing. Nearby hikes were wonderful. Also, the lodge provides you access to the canoes at their sister property Moraine Lake, and this was a wonderful experience.
The host, Luc was great. The room was perfect in every way. Field, British Columbia is a town of 196 people with a great restaurant, The "Truffle Pig". Very quiet and relaxing. It's a short drive from Lake Louise and is located near the major attractions of the YOHO National Park. I would highly recommend staying here vs Lake Louise or Banff.
The View from the room and balcony is one of the best in the world. The guest rooms are cozy with wood burning fireplaces. The lodge is very comfortable and welcoming to guests the, staff was amazing. Access to trails and views around Emerald lake and in Yoho National Park. overall worth the value
Luc greeted us and was extremely kind and helpful. His property is beautiful with gorgeous views of the mountains. Its situation near the highway makes it a good location to travel to places. The amenities in the accommodation are excellent warm and homely. One of the best places I've stayed.
Lovely hotel. Bed was incredibly comfortable and room was so cozy! Gas fire so nice. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was not as good. It was great to be so close to main sites in yoho park. We got a complimentary canoe rental at lake moraine which was a surprise and was great!
the accommodation was very clean and felt as though it had recently been refurbished.
it was perfect for us……spacious, comfortable and very clean.
the location to Yoho Park was ideal.
It was also nice to be in Field and enjoy the local history and hospitality.
Great location, accommodation, meals and service. Our cabin was right on the water and near the main lodge. Dinner was great. The included breakfast was average and could use some improvement. Great location as a base for hiking and fishing.
Quaint village and nice facility snuggled into the mountains. Great restaurant a 2 minute walk. Nice bedrooms. With a look around the kitchen you can find most things you would need in a kitchen. Luke was helpful and welcoming.
This is a great cabin outside Yoho National Park in Field. The cabin is pretty comfortable and you have everything you need. Communication is really fast and you get help for everything you need.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room was very cozy. The location near the mountains was amazing! We really enjoy our stay in the hotel. Definitely will be back
The hotel located in the middle of banff national park, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the restaurant is a top notch
We loved the location in Field in the mountains but away from the traffic. Communication with the host was exceptional, and the property was clean and comfortable.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous lake and mountain setting!!! Food was excellent. Loved waking around the lake and canoeing. Rustic and not for the fancy minded.
