Dospat is a very small town.
Dospat is a very small town. There is a bank with an atm, a few supermarkets with most things, and a few restaurants. Our favorite was Ресторант-градина Орфей- which has excellent food and was open until 11pm (other places closed before 8pm). The family that runs it is very kind and friendly and their food is delicious and affordable.

Liked: surrounded by mountains and next to the lake.
Liked: surrounded by mountains and next to the lake. Good starting point to explore the nearby attractions such as : Iagoginska cave, The Devil’s throat cave, The canyon, Devin. Didn’t like: The view from the hotel is obstructed by a huge building of a mosque. There are loud prayers through speakers a few times a day. The room was not cleaned and the towels changed although requested.

Dospat itself is not well developed towards tourism.
Dospat itself is not well developed towards tourism. However, you can stay at any of the hotels/guest houses, there is a panorama view of the dam lake or if you a fisherman you can do that, or enjoy a boat ride. However, near Dospat there are a lot of places to visit like Waterfall Kasak, The roman bridge, The devil's path. About 30 -35km from Dospat are the Yagodina cave, The eagle's eye, cave Devil's throat, The wolf rock path and others.
