Really comfortable beds. Great views over the garden, with lots of birds on the ponds. Friendly staff (also owners and family there) to give great service in a pleasant manner. Food was excellent; both breakfast and evening meals.

Its located right on the square in a prime position. The owner was absolutely super - he kept in close contact with me on the lead up to the trip and made check in and the all important storage of bikes seamless and easy. Breakfast was delicious - just what we needed. A really relaxed and enjoyable trip, we will return.

Oudenaarde is an attractive town with some excellent places to eat - either in the centre or in the nearby villages. It's a great base for cycling enthusiasts - as there are iconic cobbled climbs and lovely quiet country roads. Having a beer in the centre of the town is recommended.

Brilliant place to ride a bike.
Brilliant place to ride a bike. Marked routes covering all the best cobbled climbs starting and finishing at the Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen. For €4 you can buy a very good map there. Nice places to eat in the square.

Beautiful town. Very clean.
Beautiful town. Very clean. Ate at a sidewalk cafe next to our hotel. Only problem is parking overnight. You had to take your car about a 1/2 mile away or pay $2 Euros an hour. Countryside is also beautiful. Would have liked cooler weather!
We were quite wow-ed by our experience at this hotel. The location was great, the staff super friendly and helpful, and the interior was really well done. The room itself was spacious with some great design (like the walk-in shower). The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and very respectful of the corona restrictions. This place is a gem in one of the most under appreciated towns in Belgium. I can't recommend this place enough.
De Zalm is a family run hotel right in the very center of Oudenaarde.
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The really make you feel like a welcome guest.
A nice breakfast room with a decent breakfast. My room had a view on the beautiful gothic town hall (see picture, taken from the window of my room)
A terras on the 3rd floor allows a cigar smoker like me to enjoy his smoke.
The building is old but not worn out, the bathroom is modern.
The staff was great and very helfpul. All of them. We enjoyed the breakfast and breakfast area. The location of the hotel is just amazing. It is very close to the city center (walking distance) and basically right next to the river. The view is great if you are actually on the side of the river. There is a free parking right next to the hotel which is also great. And it is quite at night so you can have a great sleep.
We liked the breakfast which was very much suitable for our road cycle trip. Also the facility to 'park' our bicycles in the separate bike room in the parking garage was excellent. We very much appreciated the opportunity to have our bikes parked there again after we returned from our road cycle trip and wanted to stroll around the Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen. Flexible staff.
Very close to city center (few min walk), great place to stay if you want to cycle and explore the city afterwards. nice + modern hotel, love the cycling related murals in hallways. Place to store your bike overnight and underground parking. Also plenty of parking out front. Airconditioning in room was very good as well: Quiet and very effective.
A very well built and fitted out property with a lovely outside seating area, which is both private and shaded. The property is a large, roomy family home in a quiet village, handy for Oudenaarde, which is lovely and has a main line station, which we found very useful for trips to Brugge and Ghent.
Great hotel in this price range. I stayed here pre-covid but I think the management is new. The staff were very helpful and allowed a late check-out so we could go out for a cycle in the morning and shower and change.
The breakfast is still good but not as varied as it used to be.
The location is perfectly located on Markt Square in Oudenaarde. Easy access to anything in Oudenaarde and beyond. The staff and service were warm, caring, and comprehensive. It's a quiet, traditional place with warm spirit
Fabulous stay, lovely hosts and a great property for our stay in Belgium. We loved it. The house had everything we needed and Anya and Hans were so helpful 😀. Fabulous bike storage too 🚴♂️🚴♀️❤️
Lovely hotel in an excellent location - within walking distance of the centre and the riverside cycle path. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good beers are available at the bar. Breakfast is good too.
The center within walking distance, a free parking nearby. Very good bed, slept well. A quiet hotel with quick, friendly service. The breakfast was delicious, very varied too. Recommended!
Very friendly personnel. Extremely helpful as I as expecting a reception desk. Once in contact with one of the staff, the concept of the hotel was explained.
In the centre if a small village is this stonehouse hotel with a beautiful view of the church and big square. Big rooms, friendly staff and dogs are welcome.
