Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.
Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.
Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk.
Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk. Massively expensive for potentially poor snow coverage.
Thredbo had such limited accessibility on one of our days everyone getting down the run then had to take off their ski/snowboard to hike through mud to the only available chairlift from main hub. Enormous queue. Saw people arrive and just turn around. There are limited options to get out of front valley when the wind shuts down the the chairlifts. This was end of July - peak season.
I recommend Perisher over Thredbo in terms of reliable access to snow.

Thredbo is easy to get too, and the drive there from either direction (especially from Khancoban) is Fantastic. There is a lot of chair rides, and a Gondala ride, if you want to just go for sight seeing, and the Board Walk on the top of the mountain is a "must-do" in the out of season times.
Thredbo is probably one of the best locations for mountain bike riding.

The room was lovely. Spotless.
The room was lovely. Spotless. Heated flooring and towel rails. Large bathroom with plenty bench space. Lovely breakfast in shared dining room. Beautiful views from picturesque windows. Hosts were wonderful. The only problem is the access. To the chalet. Going down 52 odd steps. Is fine if you have no health issues or knee problems. And we were fortunate to have only a small bag. This is the only issue I have with pure Thredbo. But it’s important to let others know. I have friends who would not have been able to stay had they have known of the steps
Otherwise. Perfect
The apartment has a breathtaking view of Eagle’s Nest. A perfect way to wake up! While on the map, the apartment looks a distance from Thredbo Village, it’s pretty much a walk to everything with the stairs linking the mountain. For the days that we’re wet and snowing, DVDs we’re on standby which was great for our 9 year old.
While this apartment was perfect for us, I wouldn’t recommend it for mobility compromised travellers as there are lots of stairs. Thanks Lantern for a fabulous stay!
We visited this "ski" lodge in summer. The entire area is a "V" with the one side the road and parking for this stay, the bottom is the ski lift / commercial district, and the right side the top of the mountain. Easy to get your bags to the lodge. Many steps down to town and if you climb the moutain the walk back up the steps is strenuous.
The host is wonderful and cooks a tasty, filling breakfast. We enjoyed the other couples in sharing stories from around the world.
We were already in Thredbo when the Sydney lockdown happened. We were told to return to Sydney and cancel accommodation, ski lift and rental. The staff in Aneeki lodge were very helpful in providing guidance. When I asked for refund the staff were the most friendly and helpful despite the fact that I gave them the wrong credit card number and they had to do the work twice. Thank you Jenny and Steve and anyone who answered our many calls.
The location is fantastic- very close to the slopes and a walk into the village. Steep hill and no parking on site so elderly people or anyone that finds hills difficult should be mindful.
The staff are absolutley wonderful as is the breakfast offering. Very generous and delicious.
The rooms are small and a bit stuffy. Overall though a really great lodge to stay if you want to be close to the slopes
The apartment far exceeded our expectations. Everything was done with the residents in mind and with the possible convenience and comfort in the decor, bedding, furniture, and appliances.
We had a lovely weekend and will return sometime in the future.
The location on the river was nice and it is walking distance to the village. The staff were very helpful and always available when we had a request. They seemed to be very busy and were doing a lot of multitasking.
Great location . A very comfortable and clean apartment. Having a small kitchen so we could cook some meals and the ability to park onsite which seems rare in Thredbo even if if tested my car reversing skills .
Excellent accommodation. Comfortable room with brilliant views. Restaurant meal was outstanding, very high quality and breakfasts were great. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
Convenient location for ski rental and chair lifts
Convenient location to Village
Staff extremely helpful - one staff member carried our luggage upstairs on arrival without being asked.
Location was great. Easy walk to both Friday Flat and Threadbo Village. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were good and the kitchen was well appointed with cooking equipment.
A summertime trip to Thredbo for the UTMB trail run.
Accomodation was very clean and comfortable and the hosts incredibly friendly and accomodating.
Would definately stay again
I liked the apartment and being in Thredbo, staff were really friendly. The views were beautiful, and the apartment is well designed, good use of space, and comfortable.
Great apartment in a fabulous position right in the centre of Thredbo village. Warm and cosy with great views of the mountain . It it even had a car park.
