A cosy place to rest and relax after a day on the slopes. Well appointed with nice furnishings, a warm fire and a drying rack for your snow gear. Nic and Ken are wonderful and personable hosts who will ensure you have an amazing stay, even getting the fire going as you make your way down hill! It's the little touches that count the most.

Berridale is fine, but the 'Berry something' cafe that used to make excellent bacon and egg rolls and coffee has become some sort of fancy joint and we went to Jindy for breakfast instead, sorry...

A simple drive through town on the way to Jindabyne and the ski fields. The pub is cosy, there a few shops although no general store. Its more affordable than the closer sites and the drive is relatively easy.

Warm and toasty in both temperature and atmosphere.
Warm and toasty in both temperature and atmosphere. The lounge area was great to hang out in at night playing a game or two of pool. You really don't notice the few extra minutes drive from Berridale to the snow fields. The monetary savings are worth it.

Quiet country town.
Quiet country town. Provides basic facilities mainly for those visiting the Snowy Mountains. Food options are (very) limited - essentially just the Berridale Inn which is nice enough for a couple of nights.

If you are looking to go to the snow and want to be a little distance away then Berridale is a good option. Lovely coffee shop "Whiskey and Cocoa" and a cellar door in close proximity. Great to drive down some wonderful country roads- The Cellar Door in between Berridale and Dalgety is worth the drive- Open Thursday to Sunday 11.00-5.00.
Plenty to do and see around the area.
We loved being in the peaceful location of berridale. The properly looks out to rolling hills and paddocks. The hosts were excellent and Nic has clearly put a lot of thought into how they could make the place as comfortable as possible. From the house we walked through the town and visited Shut the Gate for a wine tasting and enjoyed the short walk back home. The kitchen was well stocked and our hosts even provided beautiful nibbles and sourdough for us on our arrival. It was the best little break from the city, highly recommend.
We needed somewhere to stay for a weekend at the snow and this was a perfect option! We stayed in a budget motel room, which was very well priced, and was suitably well equipped for budget accommodation. The staff member I spoke to was very cheerful and helpful.
Quiet little motel, very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Shower a great size.
Motel is a bit dated but otherwise lovely. Berridale is a small town, there's a good park for kids and the inn is great for dinner.
Great budget option for snow accommodation. Rooms were warm, showers hot, breakfast provided onsite at no extra cost and there is a good hotel bar too for a sneaky drink after a day on the slopes.
