Bargara is a small coastal resort but with quite a few coffee shops, eateries and a nice hotel. It's clean and tidy and close to several beaches - some are surf patrolled. It's a small place so you will probably want to venture further and there are a number of day cruises to the reef etc.

The host was very friendly and accommodating with late check in. There were no problems with 2 dogs (1 in each room). The coastal decoration was lovely and the space was small but very cosy, which made it very comfortable. Value for money to the max! I'd definitely stay again and for longer next time.

My cousin in Brisbane recommended it.

My cousin in Brisbane recommended it. We (family of four with kids aged 13 and 9) stayed for five nights and had a grand time. Nice beaches, good coffee shops and places to eat (especially Bradlee's fish and chips and the pub at the Bargara Beach Hotel) and some fun excursions: Mon Repos beach for the turtles and the boat trip to Lady Musgrave Island are both good (but book in advance) and, nearer 'home', we enjoyed testing various flavours of excellent lemonade at the Bundarberg Barrel and going nuts at Macadamia Australia. Great for a relaxing few days by the sea.

Great beaches. Aldi, Woolworths, chemist etc. Restaurants.

Great beaches. Aldi, Woolworths, chemist etc. Restaurants. I highly recommend the Red Chilli Thai takeaways/ restaurant. Authentic Thai. Beautiful flavours. Also See Street fish & chips is good. Good friendly service from both. Early morning walks with dog on beach great. Don't forget to carry doggie poo bags. Council bin at beach for disposal. Grand daughter practised her driving on L plates around Bargara/ Bundaberg. Good area to do that. Many interesting tourist things in Bargara/ Bundaberg.

    False Advertising.

False Advertising. The photos on booking.com is not of the room that was offered. The room was stinky and there was no regular room service. Was even asked to take my rubbish with me. Very outdated room and tired. No east access to beach, have to go through the basement and open an old, outdated roller door. I think a bit overcharged for what I got. Don't like being lied to so don't think I will be ever going back there.

Bargara is a lovely beachside town near Bundaberg, Queensland. There are drives to many places but we went to Tinaberries on two occasions. The ice creams there are absolutely the BEST and can be enjoyed in their farm surrounds. Good food is available at the Bargara Golf Club which also has a wonderful view of the sea. The Bargara Beachside Hotel and Asian Cuisine also have very good meals at reasonable prices, but they are not haute cuisine. Visitiing the Bundaberg Rum Factory is a must, and will be enjoyed. This is a place to relax and we did not go out every day,

Bargara Blue is a well maintained property and our apartment was bright, light, very clean and tastefully appointed. The lounge furniture and beds were very comfortable and everything you need is provided. We particularly liked the location so near the beach yet with places to eat, cafes, take away, bakery and few shops very close by. The apartment was ideal for two couples travelling together and would be perfect for a family. We wish our stay had been longer and would choose to return if in the area in future.

We booked a One-Bedroom Apartment with Sunset View and a Two-Bedroom Apartment with Ocean View for our friends and their kids. Their Two-Bedroom Apartment with Ocean View is on Ground floor and have direct access to the beach, which awesome. Our One bedroom Apartment with Sunset View is very spacious too and the bed is pretty comfy. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is very strategic too, easy access to the beach and local restaurant and beach walk.

The location was perfect, right in front of the beach. We came in after hours and it was very easy to collect our keys and find our room following the map and instructions provided. Free parking on site was very handy. The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay so understandably there was some construction noise but this didn't affect our stay as we were out exploring anyway. The staff were super lovely and helpful!

location is walk across the road and you are right on the beach. we had a view of the moon coming up over the water last night and then the Sun coming up this morning. Restaurant was closed on a Sunday but they made sure we were aware of the that when we booked weeks ago. Great Hotel/bottle shop next door. A variety of food outlets, all 1 minute walk.

We stayed in a powered cabin and would definitely not stay here again, staff were abrupt and condescending, the mattress was uncomfortable and the rooms had a smell of sewerage. It was very over priced for a caravan park. The only good thing is the location, very close to the beach.

Set up of the "cabin" was ok. I ran into the ladder in the dark getting to the toilet in the dark. Ended up leaving the basin area light on all night so I could see. The facilities were good. Used the pool a few times. Proximity to the beach was good.

Not very impressed with a set menu. I picked Kacy's over other hotels in Bundaberg for the restaurant. I did not want to have three courses. so went to the pub next door.
