My problem is not with Hotel Dilijan Resort. The problem is with Booking.com. I clearly indicated I wanted a single standard room. But reaching hotel, I found in the hotel booking a family room which was basically a two bedroom apartment with huge sitting room and costing 4 times the cost of a single room. At that time, there was no way I could officially ascertain what was my original booking. If one is not carefully to cross check over and over before completing the booking, Booking.com will saddle you with a room option you did not pick in the first place which you will only notice when it is too late. This has happened to me before

You may walk and discover interesting corners, try the Armenian dishes in the restaurants and enjoy the beautiful view of mountains around.

We stayed one night, on our drive towards Tblisi. But we shoudl have stayed 2-3 days instead in Dilijan. The nature is spectacula. We went horseback riding wiith Dilijan Horseriding. An absolute must do! We ate dinner at Kchuk restaurant, an absolute explosion of delicious flavors! The wine was from Karabagh, and was sooo smooth. We stayed one night at the cutest, comfortabe Cozy House. Imagine spending a night in Elfin like surroundings. Clean, beautiful and welcoming.

Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia.
Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia. It is surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers; a perfect location for those who love hiking, adventures and nature.
There are several lakes in and around Dilijan: Dilijan lake, Parz lake, Gosh and Hovk lakes (5-10 kms away from the town). You need mountain jeeps or good walking shoes to reach Gosh lake. To reach the other lakes, a usual rented car or taxi is ok. Those are small, lovely, mountain lakes.
The river Aghstev flows through the town and it offers nice views and places to eat on its shores.
Nearby towns are as peaceful as Dilijan; Goshavank, Aghavnevank (both west of Dilijan), Teghut and Hovk villages (to the north, on the road towards Ijevan).
For mountaineers and hikers, Mount Dimats offers spectacular scenes. You can reach there by mountain jeeps with drivers (10,000 drams).
The area is also packed with cultural and religious old sites, like Haghardzin monastery which can be reached by a taxi or rented car. The others, Aghavnevank and Matosavank need a good 30-40 minute upward-slope walking as the roads are not suitable for cars.
There is a deer breeding center on the way to Parz Lake. Children will love it was they are allowed to feed the deer. At Parz Lake, there are several activities, such as zipline, boat-riding, etc.
Inside the town, you can walk on Sharambeyan Street, where you can find souvenirs, artwork and traditional, 19th century houses. There is also the Dilijan Park and the Amphitheatre.
In Dilijan, there are many good places to eat, Halep, Getap, Flying Ostrich, Ureni, Kchuch and Tava restaurants. Getap restaurant and hotel complex is a great relaxing place right next to the river with good food.
Avoid going to the river or the lakes on Sundays as those places will be packed by locals and tourists.

Dilijan is a decent place for relaxing and going for extreme ways at the same time. It offers great mountainous landscapes with dense forest, yet it is a quite developed city with a selection of restaurants and cafes. There are various museums and other landmarks to visit.

A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan...
A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan National Park. A nice place to relax amongst the cool green shady trees. A few good eating options around. The Dilijan Art Gallery is excellent with some great examples of Soviet era art. A wonderful lady who spoke very good English took us on a guided tour and her explanations were really clear and insightful. The 50 Year Anniversary monument of Soviet Armenia is really impressive.
Brand new, small hotel situated in a quite quarter of family houses. Nice views at surrounding mountains. Rooms are equipped in modern, minimalistic way, shower gels and slippers are provided too. Breakfast, not opulent but with good choice for everybody, is served in very pleasant restaurant. We had there also very tasty and opulent local dinner including tasty Armenian wine. Very kind and attentive staff. Several parking places for guests next to the entrance to the hotel. As the hotel is in slope, be ready for stairs everywhere.
It is rare for me to write a comment about any place, and I always limit myself to the evaluation only, but the beauty of the place and the good hospitality of the hotel people forced me to talk about the beauty of the place, the comfort, and the availability of all the things we needed in the hut.. We spent three days there and enjoyed a lot in Dilijan, as the place is very beautiful for relaxation. And enjoy the natural scenery. I wish you all the best and success. Thank you🤍🤍.
Ecokayan Dilijan Resort Hotel, which is located within the Dilijan National Park, is a wonderful hotel surrounded by stunning scenery. We were able to completely disconnect from city living and enjoy farm-style simple living in the lap of nature. We also enjoyed the hearty and wholesome food served at the restaurant. The property offers easy access to hiking trails nearby and is perfect for backpackers and families alike. We truly enjoyed our stay at Ecokayan!
I recently stayed at this newly opened hotel, and it was an absolute delight. The charming exterior and interior design added to its appeal, complemented by the picturesque surroundings of a river and forest. The breakfast exceeded expectations, featuring a diverse and delicious spread. The staff's thoughtful gesture of complimentary sparkling wine further enhanced the overall experience. Highly recommend for a memorable stay.
A great 5-star hotel in the middle of nature, ideal for a luxurious stay close to Dilijan. Our superior double room was comfortable, super clean, and well-designed, with a huge king-size soft bed and every amenity available. The breakfast was amazing. Everything you can imagine is there and the quality of the products was unique. The staff is very polite and always eager to help.
This hotel became my favorite one in Dilijan. Comfy place, modern designed rooms, everything was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part was breakfast. They're serving individual breakfasts and it's very rich with various snacks and fruits, also warm dishes.
They also have super cute little cat in the garden ^^
the apartment is placed in the local part of Dilijan so you can taste a bit of village spirit instead of some hotel or resort. It is calm with a nice partly view to the mountains and the village. Everything is much more than comfortable there, highly recommend this place.
We had a great stay in the upstairs room with a fantastic view over Dilijan. The hotel is in a good location to walk to town. The bed is very comfortable and the room has a kettle and dining table. Friendly staff, thank you for organising extra blanket and pillow.
Guesthouse is really clean and in the center of Old dilijan. Room with balcony is the best choice.
The host speaks English and we talk about Armenian culture.
Prices for excursions are higher compare to others, but good organization.
The owners were very nice from check-in to check-out. The room had beautiful mountain views and the breakfast was the best we had while in Armenia! The property is large and there are a lot of areas to walk around! Would recommend!
It’s super cozy and comfortable place directly on the mountain river. Staff is perfectly polite, welcoming and very helpful. Location is also good and very easy to get to the most of restaurants and touristic places in Dilijan.
The breakfast was good but the variety of provided products/options was poor. There are no salads at all, no cold cuts, etc...
The location is good, maybe one of the best places near Dilijan, in the forest.
Very nice concept of hobbit house. Good location in Dilijan. Hotel easy to find close to the main road. Good restaurants available in short driving distance. Bluetooth speakers in room.
