Set in Clarens, 26 km from Golden Gate Highlands National Park and 3.5 km from Clarens Golf Club, Swiss Chalet Clarens offers a garden and air conditioning. The chalet is stunning, new and stylish. Situated in a huge park-like garden with beautiful mountain views. Quiet surroundings. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting - yet close enough for a nice walk to various restaurants in Clarens. The chalet contains all that is needed for self-catering including comfy beds and a fireplace for the cooler evenings. There is also a solar / battery backup power unit which automatically takes over during loadshedding. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Gem of a place in Clarens - highly recommended.

The host was very helpful and kind The facility was on point and clean The view from the swimming area was refreshing And the room view too , waking up to a great breath of fresh air

The house is really clean everything you need and more . Friendly staff and the dogs are great friendly and so loveable. Bit cold in the house but once you start the fire its nice and comfortable couldnt find a fault. Great place to stay!!

With Clarens Golf Club reachable in 48 km, Uitzicht Private Nature Reserve and Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. The fact that it was far away from our daily norms the daily noises of the city was just perfect

Situated within 17 km of Ficksburg Golf Club in Ficksburg, Boschfontein Mountain Lodge features accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. I stayed at the Boschfontein Mountain lodge for one night, and once I saw the property I immediately regretted not booking a longer stay. Toni, the owner, was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the checking-in experience a breeze - this was made all the more remarkable given the fact that I made the booking last minute and she was not informed of my stay ahead of arrival. The lodge has everything one can possibly need for a comfortable stay, including an amazingly designed braai (bbq) in the center of the dining area, more than enough cutlery and seating space, and the owners' very friendly dogs to keep you company :). The bed was super comfy and everything was clean, neat and tidy. If my review ended here it would have already warranted a 5 star rating. However, the view from the property, of the Maluti mountains and the valley below, as well as the peace, quiet and serenity of the property are what really sets it apart from most places I have stayed at in that part of the world. This is mainly due to the fact that the lodge was built at the foot of the mountain that envelops the farm, and therefore provides an amazing vantage point from which to survey the scenery below. This also means it's quite easy to hike up the mountain for a 360 degree view of the wonderful Easter Free State landscape. I genuinely, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Boschfontein Mountain Lodge and can absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a few nights' rest in the area. PS; Just 1 thing to note: The road up to the lodge requires a car with a high clearance, otherwise Toni or Morgan will have to take guests up to the property in their Land Rover (which I'm sure is not a problem).

Featuring pool views, Vaal River YOLO Spaces - Vaal River Bush Lodge River Home features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a terrace, around 16 km from DP de Villiers... My family and I had an amazing time. the property was big enough to accommodate us all. it was clean and had everything we needed. The boathouse was just a cherry on top.

Situated 47 km from Rolfontein Nature Reserve, Eco Karoo Mountain Lodge features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Eco Karoo is literally in the middle of no where, and thats what makes it so great. As a city boy it is very refreshing to look out and not see another road, high rise or barbwire fence covered houses. This place will always be magical for me. This was our 2nd time and I think it will become tradition.
