I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

El Uros Lake Titicaca Lodge se encuentra en Puno y ofrece vistas al lago, restaurante, recepción las 24 horas, bar, jardín y terraza. Además, hay wifi gratis. Very nice room with comfortable bed. We liked the blankets very much, they keep you warm during the night, of course with the help of Carlos that brings some hot bottles of water to put on your feet. The terrace and the view from the room are amazing, at sunset especially the colours of the lake are surreal. The food was also very good! Considering the kitchen they have, they made magic of it. We had a trip around the community with the host, Carlos, which we enjoyed a lot.

El Uros Samarana Uta Lodge dispone de solárium y vistas a la montaña y está situado en Puno. El lago Titicaca queda a 7 km. This is probably one of our best stays in Peru so far. It was a very unique experience and so nice to stay and support the local community. The place felt almost magical. We would recommend everybody. The family took us with the boat to other islands and showed their culture and history. We do not speak Spanish, but the level of English was amazing, and we learned a lot about the local people. The food was nice. We had fresh fish caught by the family for lunch, chicken for dinner and a good breakfast as well. It was a bit cold in the evening, but we had heater in the night. Just remember warm clothing for the evenings and you’ll be fine

El Uros Summa Paqari está situado en la isla flotante de Uros, en Puno, a 7 km del lago Titicaca. El puerto de Puno está a 5 km. Todas las habitaciones disponen de baño privado. Gorgeous place to stay!! The room was fab, better than we expected. Everything was very clean, a lovely hot shower and plenty of blankets for the cold nights. The dinner and breakfast was nice and the family here are so welcoming and friendly.

El Uros Qhantany Lodge está situado en el lago Titicaca, en las islas flotantes de los uros, a 5 km de la costa de Puno. La costa de Puno queda a 30 minutos en barco. Lovely experience for one night. We had lunch and dinner, plenty of tasty food. Just be aware to bring cash- it’s not possible to pay with card, and there are also some extra fees- like transfer from the city, or entrance to Titicaca lake

El Titicaca tikary's lodge se encuentra en Puno, cerca del Deustua Arc y del parque Pino, y ofrece jardín, terraza y restaurante. Este lodge sirve un desayuno continental. I think it was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in! There are 3 houses on a floating island, owned by a father and a son. They are extremely nice people! The price is ridiculously small for what they offer. The view from the huge windows of the house is amazing, and so is the stay on the floating terrace.
