Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. I really enjoyed my stay at Melford. The real wood furnishings and parquet flooring added a touch of elegance to the comfortable ambiance. The host's excellent English and helpful assistance, from arranging transportation to providing valuable tips, made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful experience.

They have their own vegetable plots in the premises. The manager cum part owner kaveesha and his friend akila were super nice and accommodating. They organized excursions to all the waterfalls in the area in a safari jeep. It, of course involved lots of trekking and climbing . The cabana style unit was cozy and ideal for a friend/family get-together. It was a home away from home . Super relaxing atmosphere.waking up to bird sounds was lovely. Cool weather. Feb/ March is the best time to go as it is dry. Rain season will dampen the experience.

The property has quiet street views and is 3.4 km from Gregory Lake and 10 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. The property features barbecue facilities. The hosts were exceptionally warm and friendly and accommodative. Responded to appeals promptly. Property was very clean, and the atmosphere pleasant for a holiday. The bedding and sofas were comfortable, and all necessities attended to. Privacy was ensured. Parking facility for a van was appreciated.

Located in Ohiya, surrounded by mountains in the Horton Plains Range, Hill Safari - Tea Estate Villa mainly serves Sri Lankan cuisine. It features a shared lounge area surrounded by tea estates/mountains. The property boasts an excellent location for hiking and trekking. We are a Belgian family (father and 2 adult children) travelling through Sri Lanka in summer 2023. Looking for a hotel at walking distance from the Horton Plains National Park we ended up in the Hill Safari Tea Estate Hotel. At the Ohiya train station (approx. 5 km from the hotel) we were picked up by the owner, Mr Perera, who was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the site. The hotel, located in a tea plantation, has a fantastic view on the Sri Lankan lowlands (comparable to that at World’s End). Just note that the hotel is quite remotely located and therefore food is taken on site (food is excellent!). We organized a trip to the Horton Plains, going (early morning) by tuktuk and returning by foot (watch out for sunburn on the way back!). We can only be (very) positive about the hotel, the owners, and the staff.

Room was spacious and beautiful. It had all the facilities we wanted and exceeded our expectations. The view from the balcony was amazing, it was a unique experience . Kind, friendly and really helpful staff. Highly recommend.
