Oak Lodge Portumna, a property with a garden, is located in Portumna, 24 km from Birr Castle, 32 km from Nenagh Castle, as well as 35 km from Lough Derg Yacht Club. The owners Mary and PJ couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay comfortable..including washing our cycling kit as we arrived by bike. Safe bike storage was found for us and recommendations for eating out. It was nice to have the small kitchen area to make drinks and also the biscuits provided were welcome. Lovely spotlessly clean room. Breakfast was good as well. Can’t fault it!

Have nothing but positive things to say about the Sweet haven Chalet! Spotlessly clean, warm, snug, ideally located a few mins from Oughterard a nd the hosts were so accommodating. Fresh eggs left for breakfast, cinnamon rolls, a stocked kitchen with cooking oil and tea, it was ideal. Everything you need for a quiet weekend break. We hope to return ASAP!

The cottage was really well laid out and had absolutely everything that we needed during our stay. The location was ideal- close enough to the major sites in the area but still very quiet.
