People who have said it's overpriced, it's not. Not even all 5 star hotels offer such excellent kitchen. Plus, you can take a walk and see where and how the food you eat grows. Tracking tour on the property is great.

Trogon Lodge is located 1.5 km from San Gerardo de Dota town centre and 9 km from Los Quetzales National Park. It features an extensive garden, a terrace and BBQ facilities. The landscaping is an absolutely lovely blend of natural forest, river, and gardens. The staff is gracious and welcoming. Both the restaurant and bar are quite confortable.

We could have spent a week here, we really did not want to leave. If you get the chance, you must stay here. The cabin was perfect, there is nothing you need that isn’t here. The views are spectacular, it wouldn’t be possible to do it justice. We were very fortunate to stay at some incredible places, but this might be our favourite. The drive up is challenging, we were laughing the whole way, but it was definitely worth it. We can’t recommend this place more. Great hosts, readily available and accommodating.
