Alexandra the owner and host created indeed a wonderful, relaxing retreat. We enjoyed the location out in the jungle, away from party making Puerto Viejo. We had a car so it was easy to drive out for dinner, otherwise a cab needed. It is possible to organize a yoga lesson, I tried and can very much recommend it. Also the breakfast is excellent, all fresh made. We enjoyed the pura vida atmosphere of Puerto Viejo, found there a great local chocolate shop where we did our chocolate shopping.

Thank you to the staff for all their help. Beautiful well maintained grounds. We saw more animals in the yard than in a national park. Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Beautiful place, friendly staff, we saw lots of animals on guesthouse area, superclean room.

Situated 5 km awayfrom Cahuita in the Limon Region and 18 km from Puerto Viejo, Passion Fruit Lodge boasts an outdoor pool and views of the tropical garden. Cocles is 20 km from the property. Just paradise! The place is a dream and the hosts are amazing! Thank you so much for everything again <3

Playa Grande Lodge & Tree House offers pet-friendly accommodation in Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 16 km from the property. Free WiFi is available throughout. This is a solid choice in Cahuita. Alberto the host is a super friendly stand up guy who comes with homemade breakfast every morning and never hesitated to help out and give good advise. He even called the airline for us to talk to them in Spanish when our bag was lost. The houses are simple but clean and cosy. We saw sloths nearby, hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden and heard the howler monkeys all the time. Close to a nice beach that is good for walks in the mornings and also a great restaurant within walking distance.
